To answer Christine's question. This series is closer to the last than it should have been because we had to wait extra long for the last one to be aired. It should have gone out last spring but was delayed due to Sir Alan being involved with one of the political parties in the general election (can't remember which one). For reasons I don't quite understand his involvement meant that the series couldn't be aired until after the election .

Boring reason but there you go!

BTW, I'm really excited about the new series. Can't wait for 9pm!!

Terry Leahy the ex boss of Tesco and one of the most talented leaders of his generation was withering about the Apprentice and the people who go on it. That says it all - it is a show packed with talentless self seekers suited to a career an an Estate Agent, car salesman or "something" in recruitment.

Argghhh! Just realised I will miss the first episode due to taking step-mother out for belated mothers day meal

No, I often do impose breaks on myself when I have to get RL stuff done and 'just happen' to lift the ban in time for Apprentice threads or XF bitchfests .

Someone is out here playing music on a car stereo so loud the base is hurting my ears inside the house (it must be a weird frequency or something as loud noise doesn't usually bother me)... I hope they don't stick around too long. It's very unusual around these parts.

Actually, chipping, the thought of reading the thread whilst watching the recorded version later has cheered me up no end.

Have just realised I will need you guys to 'watch' this series with as dh has just completely failed me by not even knowing who i was talking about [divorce emoticon] when I texted him to say I would sadly be missing suralan tonight!
