Apparently Maria's going to sing Brown Sugar tonight. Am I being pc and saddo to find that in rather poor taste?

Blimey - surprised to see that no-one has been on chatting about tonight's show yet. Just finished watching it (bit behind time on Sky +) myself. Thought Shayne was very good tonight, and Andy was too, although I still prefer Boyz II Men version.

Chicco managed to prove that he can't sing, and thought Brenda was surprisingly poor tonight. Couldn't understand why she got such good comments from the judges. I normally really like her.

Didn't think Conway Sisters were great after choosing their own song. Another one that wasn't half as good as the original.

Nicholas also a little weak, although did look good tonight.

I didn't think any of them were outstanding tonight. Chicco, Nicholas, Conway Sisters could all go really, no loss.
I still like Maria and Brenda and Andy but they weren't at their best tonight.

I think it's ludicrous of Simon to say that Shayne could become the bestselling male solo artist in the UK. He is lightyears behind Robbie in charisma and talent, IMO.

emkana - I agree with the first part of your post, but have to disagree with the second. Had already drawn parallels in our household, and have to say that Shayne is ahead of Robbie in looks, equal in charisma, and light years ahead in manners (although DH assures me that Robbie is nicer in person than on tv). And if you recall Robbie from Take That days, he was a pretty talentless drug addict!!!

Well I suppose Shayne is still at the beginning, but at the moment I couldn't see him doing a performance like Knebworth or even better Live 8.

bloody hell, this show grrrr. Sharon was right, it was about the passport but really she can't talk as she's built up that talentless bit called chico so much that the young lot just want to keep him in so she's no better. He can't win. so why not just get rid now, I don't understand it!. I think Simon talks the most sense!
