That was amazing.

Maria and Shayne are probably the only two who could have a long career - I love Brenda but I don't see her staying the course once out of the competition.

The more I see this, the more I realise that people who earn millions of pounds for doing what they do, are just as incompetent and blind and likely to screw up as the rest of us.

Some of the songs they are choosing for their people are just so wrong. It's as if they don't know them at all and haven't analysed what will suit them and show their voices and personalities off in the best way possible. Mentors? Don't you actually have to meet someone occasionally in order to mentor them?

I think that X factor/pop idol has run its course. Perhaps they should do it every few years instead of every year.

I'm enjoying Sharon rubbing it in that she is the best mentor!!!

Louis is a moron... starting to wonder if he's been taking many drugs and that is the cause of his personality transplant.

emily05 - Louis keeps saying that he knows the Conway Sisters from Ireland, so that is probably why.

Simon didn't have anything to do with Westlife, so no reason why he should know them because of that.

hi, feel like defending nicholas a little bit I think on his performance saturday it was pretty poo but not his voice the choice of song (I know that sounds a pretty lame excuse but its true)this reflects on so much - chenai has a good voice but nothing else - personality and I think she woudl eprhaps onyl be able to sing once type of song and that is it - go nicholas! andy - shayne and nicholas are my favourties!

I don't understand the nicholas thing either. he can't sing in tune, has no charisma and I can't see any talent in him at all. having said that I did go to a barry manilow concert once so I don't know how reliable my taste is. I like brenda, maria and andy. have HUGE crush on shayne but don't think he'll win.

It was mentioned on This Morning that the Conway Sisters had a tantrum backstage. I didn't see the section where they told you what happened - can somone fill me in? The lead singer sister had a face like thunder when they were being judged! She looked like she was going to strop right there on stage. I also agree with Furball - Del Boy did it better

Thank god its not just me who thinks nicholas cant sing, I think brenda has the best voice but reckon maia comes close and has the whole package it shouldnt count nut it does

Oooh (sad girlie I am) I actually saw some of Xtra Factor on Sat too - Conway Sisters were p*ssed off because of the introduction that Simon gave them (I've forgotten what it was), but since he'd pretty much been saying that Sharon had gotten all the talent all night, I'd be a bit miffed too... and they were upset that their song was slated, when from what I could gather, they hadn't wanted to sing it in the first place.

They were adamant that their next song is what THEY want.

It was such a shit song, wasn't it?

I think it's pretty much btw Shayne, Andy and Journey South now. I think Brenda and Maria should do well but it will be the urse of the females and they won't win. Personally i'd like to see Andy win

I think Nicholas will surprise everyone when/if he gets a decent Usher type song.Louis is an arse!

the conway sisters are singing such strange songs. one voice was an awful choice. who is going to relate to that? they would be better singing something by the bangles like eternal flame. everyone loves that.

Rowetta sang at the opening of a local firework display on saturday. I wasn't there but apparently she arrived late so that the display had to be postponed by an hour. Result loads of bored parents and kids waiting around in the cold for her before they'd start the fireworks. When she went on stage, noone clapped or cheered and when she finished there was another huge silence from the crowd. Oh dear!

Did anyone else notice that after Maria sang that song (sorry can't remember what now) but in the advert break straight after, an advert for James Blunts new CD came on, singing the same song!!

I'm going with the theory that the final will be between Journey South, Maria and Shayne (i'll be stunned if there isn't a very convenient one from each group ). Andy would be out as 4th in that line up... I don't think he's got the staying power to keep up the next few weeks - he's too samey each week (and Maria has giant breasts, which is bound to get her some votes )

Certainly gets her Simon's vote. They are humongous aren't they?
