Just seen Pootle the flump on FF's member profile and it struck me that "The Flumps" was a really bizarre programme.

We were really bought up on some wierd shit weren't we?

Well, it was a film but I saw it on the telly. does that count? It's about a boy who finds a tollbooth in his bedroom (no really), goes through it and becomes a cartoon in cartoon land. Lot's of weird things happen, like a wizard conducting the sunrise and they take a trip to the doldrums and get all fed up. As far as I remember anyway. It's haunted me for so long...

LadyTophamHatt · 04/11/2005 19:09

Yes, agree moomins=odd

Charlton and the wheelies was strange too.

I remeber the witch that lived in the teapot on the top of the hill. No idea what her name was though.

zelda was the witch in Chorlton and the Wheelies

I loved Chorlton - I watched a clip of it the other day, it is very surreal!

I always remember Trumpton and Camberwick Green. I'm not sure anything ever really happened in either series. From memory, it was just 10 minutes of watching people troop around the countryside (Pugh! Pugh! Barney McGrew! Cuthbert! Dibble! Grubb!). But I don't think there was ever a fire? all very odd!

foxinsocks · 04/11/2005 19:28

oh of course!! Fenella was the witch in Chorlton and zelda in terrorhawks!

snufflepuss · 04/11/2005 19:29

Ok, showing my age. Does anyone remember HR Puffnstuff ? That was weirdy beardy strange.
