Ooh thought this had finished last week?

OP posts:

Since I had a labour like Sam's and am peed off at your lack of empathy!

amistillsexy · 04/04/2011 21:35

Feeling sorry for Sam now though. She must be really frightened to be screaming that much in the early stages.

Reminds me of when I was having DS2. I'd done ok with DS1 cos I didn't know what I was in for. With DS2 I just lay on my bed wishing it would stop. The MW said I had to get up and walk around to get labour going. I said 'I know. That's why I'm staying still!' Grin

He came out in the end, though, no matter what I did!

StarlightMcKenzie · 04/04/2011 21:35

Enjoying Joyless though! She's fab!

amistillsexy · 04/04/2011 21:36

Why can't Joy eat anything?

TobyLerone · 04/04/2011 21:37

I'm pretty sure that most of us who have given birth have been in pain like Sam. It didn't make most of us behave like horrific brats.

And having the worst labour in the world doesn't give you the right to tell people what to do on a lighthearted internet thread.

I think you need to chill out starlight. People are entitled to their own opinions

Albrecht · 04/04/2011 21:37

Joy is diabetic

StarlightMcKenzie · 04/04/2011 21:37

If you'd been in pain like Sam, you would have acted like Sam. Simples!

StarlightMcKenzie · 04/04/2011 21:38

For sure, but I am entitled to point out that they are WRONG!

shinydiscoball · 04/04/2011 21:39

The majority of that is all about attention! Seriously she's coming out with loads of shit that she's obviously picked up from watching soap opera deliveries Wink

I have given DP the authority to leave the room/tell me I'm a knobhead if I start carrying on like that.....hmm words I may regret in 8 weeks time :)

TobyLerone · 04/04/2011 21:39

No. If I'd have been unable to cope with pain like Sam is unable to cope with pain, I'd have behaved like Sam.

So you're wrong, if we're playing that game!

So you are suggesting that Sam's pain is in her head? or she is making it up? or what?

CaveMum · 04/04/2011 21:42

If I remember rightly wasn't Sam's labour back to back?

amistillsexy · 04/04/2011 21:42

That's why I think Sam must be frightened, Everlong. Pain might not make you scream, but the fear of pain might do.

StarlightMcKenzie · 04/04/2011 21:42

everlong, exactly what I am trying to say. SOme people have more painful labours than others, so you can't attribute behaviour to drama. It could be genuine pain. Just because someone behaves in a more distressed way than you did doesn't mean someone is acting, it could mean that their pain was more distressing. In fact that is what it probably means.

TobyLerone · 04/04/2011 21:43

I'm suggesting that she's in pain and she's unable to cope for whatever reason. Maybe it's because she's a drama queen, maybe it's because she's making a huge fuss and therefore tense, maybe it's because she's got a low pain threshold.

ng1412 · 04/04/2011 21:43

isn't it amazing what some drugs can do, sam appears a lot calmer now.

And MAYBE, it is the one you left off your list which is that her pain is in excess of the majority of women.

shinydiscoball · 04/04/2011 21:44

Nope, not saying she's making it up, just that she seems like the kind of girl who would demand a bandage, sling and a weeks sick note for a paper cut :o

Echoing TobyLerone, isn't this supposed to be a lighthearted thread?
