Bring your notebooks, your whiteboards, your clipboards, your pens, your tape measures and your waterways maps to solve the problem of what happened to Nanna Birk Larsen.

One last thought - Theis had only just bought the house - so might we find that the previous owner is someone we have met? Or is that too much of a coincidence.....?

bondgirl77 · 20/03/2011 08:05

Rie and Dessau eh? Could they be involved in a plot to discredit Troels that has got out of control? The man Rie really seems devoted to is her father, perhaps he is an old ally of Bremmer, as they seem a similar age. But he hasn't been in it for weeks.

I knew that house was suspicious. Nanna must've found a way to leave that passport as a clue like clutching the necklace. Surely they would put out a picture of the necklace on the news? It's quite distinctive.

Still can't see how the house and City Hall are connected. The worlds seem such different worlds. Definitely think Brix is a red herring with those leather gloves but it's extremely suspicious that he was at the hospital. Meyer has been bumped off. Wonder how long Lund will be able to resist asking his wife if he said anything before he died?!

Morning all: Now, I had hoped to dream the answer in glorious technicolor, but spent the night instead perusing knitted dishcloths on the suffolk coast. However, I have a new idea......

Firstly, we know that a lot of this hangs on the killer having an almost total knowledge of the police investigation, as, amongst other things, he went to the warehouse to hide evidence of his link to Mette......

Leon is not running because he is the killer - but is running from the killer: While he waited outside the flat for Nanna he either saw and was seen by the next person to enter the flat, or he waited long enough or the attacker to leave the flat with Nanna.

If he had waited that long - or maybe gone in to get paid, when she didn't come back out - and discovered the attack - the killer used him and his cab to take them to the heath, and then said, 'you get rid of this stuff' (clothes, passport etc) which would put Leon in up to his neck, with proof in his cab, and cunning leverage for the killer. (We know he is cunning)

Next Leon tidies his cab and discovers the passport, which he hadn't chucked with the rest of the stuff by mistake...he panics, and hides it in the Birk Larsen cellar.

Meanwhile, the killer locks up Nanna, then returns to the flat to tidy up, and realises he can't do it/has to be somewhere else, so cancels the bog replacement, and marks the flat out of action until he/she can get back to sort it.

Vagn has to cancel the office move because Leon doesn't turn up, and he hasn't got the staff.

In last nights episode there were repeated mentions of contacts at the police department by Bremmer and Rie, but my list of suspects now has on it: Troels, Morten, Bremmer, Rie, Dessau. The link to the other removal firm is circumstantial, as perhaps the killer had moved himself at that point, and had the body wrapping knocking around.

There! Finished!

teej sorry didn't answer last night, was sobbing into my pillow about Meyer.

Someone had posted he had a medical condition (helped by bananas) which Vicky Frost then drew attention to in her blog. Then the interview with Sofie Grabøl made it clear he wasn't in the next series, which is really odd because of how well that pairing works. So I've been expecting him to have a heart attack out of stress but from the moment I saw him weeing in the canal it was my heart that was pumping. I kept wanting to shout out THERE'S SOMEONE BEHIND YOU!

Blackduck · 20/03/2011 10:05

OMG - not Meyer....what is Lund going to do? And will they now try to stitch her up as it is only her word that there was a shooter....remember Brix saying 'he was shot with your gun'.....

Still think it is Vagn.....has the knowledge and links to previous girl. What did they help Leon out with??

muminlondon · 20/03/2011 10:07

And this is the second time Meyer has gone into a dark warehouse to protect Lund (with her gun this time). He should have been at home looking after his youngest with the ear infection.

Blackduck · 20/03/2011 10:11

How come he died? He was fine (well as fine as you can be having been shot twice...) We NEED to know more...

thebestofyou · 20/03/2011 10:16

Five Brilliant theory about Leon- this could aso dispel the theory that Nanna was held at the house- she could have been held in any basement /cellar with concrete floors .
One thing that still hasnt been mentioned/explained is why was Nanna seen wearing jeans and then found in a slip ? has anyone(Theis,Pernille) confirmed it was hers ?

muminlondon · 20/03/2011 10:38

Five, in my grief I didn't read your theory this morning but it sounds good. I'm not expecting the political story to connect to the killing any more - or will it? Any of them do any plumbing in their spare time?

atswimtwolengths · 20/03/2011 10:52

Just come to this - had to have a lie in because I was up all night thinking about it.

I think we've had a double bluff about Vagn. Everything pointed to him, then from him to Leon. The family was happy to think it was Leon. Now we're meant to have our eye off Vagn.

When Holck was shot, did Meyer (RIP) use his own gun? I can't remember, but thought that it was Lund's gun. Her gun disappeared from her car, didn't it? Then Holck had a gun in his hand. I assumed that was Lund's.

So if it was Lund's, then after Holck died, her gun would be taken in, in evidence.

In which case, who would have the authority to take the gun from the evidence room - Blix?

But then Meyer asked about his own gun, asked when he could have it back, and he was told he would get it back later.

When Lund needed help in the warehouse, then he reached into the glove compartment and took out a gun - whose gun was that, his or Lund's?

Now I read it that the killer was holding Lund's gun all along. And there's only one place he could get it from.

At the very end (try to re-watch it if you can) Lund's face shows shock but also recognition - she understands everything at that point (when she's in the car with the prosecutor.) For those of you who watch House, she's had a House moment, when everything becomes clear.

Poor Meyer, though. And Lund at the hospital, dying to push his wife aside so that she could ask Meyer who did it!

atswimtwolengths · 20/03/2011 10:54

Very good point, thebestofyou about the slip - they didn't ask Pernille whether that was Nanna's slip. Given Nanna lived at home and Pernille would have a good idea about her clothes, it would have been a reasonable question.

OP posts:
atswimtwolengths · 20/03/2011 10:55

The little space where the passport was found - do you think Nanna was actually hidden there and hid her own passport? It seems a very strange place for anyone to put it - why not chuck it in the canal or burn it?

OP posts:
teej · 20/03/2011 11:03

atswim re the passport - that's why i fear it may be a trophy kept by the killer -just as he kept the black heart necklace. the only other explanation is that nanna was held in the basement and left it there as a clue.
i'm wondering how it is going to come out - if the police had been allowed to search the properly they might have found it.
so many times during this story when you go "agh!!!! if only...."
those if-only's now equate to three people dying in addition to nanna and mette Sad

mum totally agree - broken hearted about meyer Sad
so we think his pre-existing medical condition (was it believed to be diabetes or something) left him vulnerable after being shot?

muminlondon · 20/03/2011 11:06

atswim Meyer shot Holck with his own gun but took Lund's gun into the warehouse. She doesn't carry it around but fortunately Holck didn't take it along with keys and phine. Therefore Lund is in deep trouble because it was her gun that killed Meyer - either it makes her a suspect or she wasn't looking after it by allowing it to be left in an unlocked car. No one knows how the suspect got hold of it.

Blackduck · 20/03/2011 11:08

Brix definately said 'he was shot with your gun'. Meyer had to give up his gun as he used it to shoot Holck. He got a gun from the glove compartment (which we assume is Lund's)and he dropped it when he was whacked with whatever it was. Killer then picked it up and shot him....

teej · 20/03/2011 11:08

atswim meyer used his gun to shoot holck; that was taken away during the investigation so he didn't have it back as yet.

lund's gun was knocked out of her hand when holck hit her over the head; i'm assuming she got it back when they were tidying up the scene after holck was shot and she put it back in her glove box.

so they get to the warehouse, lund does not take her gun so meyer is able to grab it from the glove compartment of the car when he realises lund might be in danger. that is the gun that is knocked out of his hand and he is shot with by the glove-handed man.

wonder if there might be some sort of evidence on the gun? maybe something the glove picked up that was transferred to the gun??

atswimtwolengths · 20/03/2011 11:10

Yes, but... but... (muminlondon), when did Lund get it back?

Remember before Holck died, she went to her car and her keys, phone and gun were gone? Holck had taken them, hadn't he? Did she just get them back when he died?

OP posts:
Blackduck · 20/03/2011 11:10

so because Meyer is now dead they need to take her in as it was her gun that killed him. This is what I mean about a stitch up - it is now her word only that there was a third person....

DO NOT GO ONTO THE GUARDIAN SITE LOOKING FOR REVIEWS - THEY SAY WHAT HAPPENS IN THE LAST TWO EPISODES. I WISH NOW I HADN'T!

Blackduck · 20/03/2011 11:11

atswim - we assume so. It would all be returned to her.

teej · 20/03/2011 11:13

atswim - at holck's lund went to the car and found her mobile and keys gone so she fished in the glove compartment and found her gun, which she carried into the garage until it was knocked out of her hand when she was knocked over the head.

teej · 20/03/2011 11:15

blackduck i have to admit i thought the shock and recognition on lund's face was because she realised she was in the frame for killing meyer and so the very clever killer had not only managed to get away with everything, he had also managed to fit her up for one of his own crimes!
also - it messes with her head because the one thing that is keeping her going is closing this case - it has been driving her crazy. that possibility is now slipping away from her.

teej · 20/03/2011 11:17

atswim thanks for the warning!!!
