She really isn't being very kindly portrayed in this series is she?

I am going to miss the series when it is over. I dont see why they cant continue on.

I heard the production company are making a series about the Borgias.

Would it spoil it to google?
I'm so tempted - it seems that's the way she's headed - or not (i crack myself up[no comment])

I can't get over the pudding bowl haircut!

Did you read that Henry Cavill is the new Superman? Unfortunately the director's gone missing in suspicious circumstances so it might not happen.

KittaKatta · 19/02/2011 20:11

ohhh the Borgias, like the sound of that

Dumbledoresgirl · 19/02/2011 20:13

Time for JRM to get involved in another sexier role imo.

SilveryMoon · 19/02/2011 20:16

I think Henry finds out tonight about her affairs.
Not sure if she actually gets beheaded tonight though........
I'm gutted they are stopping it now. I'd love them to carry on into Mary and Elizabeths reigns, but there'd be no JRM so maybe pointless Wink

AtYourCervix · 19/02/2011 20:17

well you know it's not going to end happily for her don't you?

Dumbledoresgirl · 19/02/2011 20:25

Is tonight the final episode then?

SilveryMoon · 19/02/2011 20:32

Don't think it could be the final episode.
This is the last series isn't it? And he has another wife to marry first, Katherine Parr

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 19/02/2011 20:40

Also is Henry going to continue slipping into an Irish accent tonight?

SilveryMoon · 19/02/2011 20:40

hahahaha, Thought I'd imagined it HMHB

TwoIfBySea · 19/02/2011 20:43

I can't say for sure if young Katherine gets the chop tonight, I think the boy does though, and I do know that Catherine Parr appears in this series.

The Borgias is showing on Sky Atlantic this summer.

TwoIfBySea · 19/02/2011 20:46

And don't forget, Jane Boleyn gets the chop too. Thanks to the letter Katherine wrote earlier (which is a good sign they pretty much got her character right in the series even if she isn't having to battle against a 300 pound, pus ridden old Henry!)

darleneconnor · 19/02/2011 21:00

She deserves it for her part in Anne and George losing their heads.

Yes, Joely Richardson is coming in to play katherine parr.

Sounds like it

Dumbledoresgirl · 19/02/2011 22:06

Oh I look forward to seeing Joely Richardson as Catherine Parr.

And Henry can slip into an Irish accent anytime he likes with me. Wink

CameronCook · 19/02/2011 22:15

I'm happy to let the accent go and ignore the departure from the truth - would be horrid for JRM to be a big fat minger [superficial emoticon]

CameronCook · 19/02/2011 22:21

eeeeeeeeeeeeeek

bluebump · 19/02/2011 22:42

All very gruesome tonight!

I've not been a fan of the Katherine Howard bits so far this series and I think the lovely Henry Cavill (Charles Brandon) needs to shave his beard off!

Guacamole · 19/02/2011 22:43

That was a bit gruesome :(

CameronCook · 19/02/2011 22:46

I agree bluebump - and Max Brown looked much nicer in Spooks than in this.

bluebump · 19/02/2011 22:52

I actually think the actress who plays Katherine Howard has done her best episode tonight, she is not as annoying as usual.

I am still sort of watching through my hands despite it being normally such a lightweight show!! Grin

Dumbledoresgirl · 19/02/2011 22:54

Urgh! That was extremely gruesome.

TwoIfBySea · 19/02/2011 22:55

I suppose it was fortunate for him that Culpepper was a favourite of Henry so that he was spared the whole hung, drawn and quartered thing too.

God but our ancestors were a gory lot!

Dumbledoresgirl · 19/02/2011 22:57

Kind of felt for Henry though. He really did get a bum deal with some of his wives. I wonder if he ever wished he had stuck with Catherine of Aragon and had done with it. At least she had morals.

TwoIfBySea · 19/02/2011 23:11

Well as Catherine of Aragon died (apparently of cancer) only a few years after Henry threw her over in favour of Boleyn then Henry could have remarried in better circumstance.

darleneconnor · 20/02/2011 01:39

I dont think any of the other queens were immoral. CofA was devout but that is differe-t from moral.
