Can't watch, but just want to say this woman's a f*cking idiot. No prior knowledge of her, no reason other than she has to be. Would love to hear her "story" though...

RTKMonherBROOMSTICK · 13/10/2005 11:47

She is going to be on soon

about 12 noon iirc

MEGA STUPID IMHO

Huh?! OMG! !

I started smoking when I was 16 and living in France for a year.

I smoked after that, but not at home (in the US, people are considered minors until they are 18, not 16), even tho my dad smokes.

After I went to uni, I smoked, but again not at home. I went to uni away from home and only came home at breaks.

I lived in a warm climate, so it was easy to get round smoking in the house.

After I graduated uni and became self-supporting, then I smoked as I pleased.

But a ten-year-old pinching fags!?

LadyTophamHatt · 13/10/2005 11:48

I would hit the roof if any if my boys smoked.

Honestly, this would be possibly the worst thing they could do for me.

(obviously excluding murder or whatever!!)

noddyholder · 13/10/2005 11:48

has it been on?Or is it about to be?Thanksxx

there has been a programme about them called 'killing the kids' or somethign, different one each week on bad diets/habits etc.

Not sure if it is a load of bull myself.

edam · 13/10/2005 11:50

WTF? I hope very much ds will never be that thick (speaking as a smoker). When he's grown up there's not much I can do about it, but certainly wouldn't let him smoke as a child!

hunkerpumpkin · 13/10/2005 11:50

Someone who watches has to post what she says. And what she looks like, what she's wearing, her accent, etc - I want to judge her properly, please.

RTKMonherBROOMSTICK · 13/10/2005 11:51

HM ARE YOU BEING JUDGEMENTAL THEN

paolosgirl · 13/10/2005 11:52

Oh well, I'm sure the support for the family will just be lining up for her after the programme, as will the tabloids for her story and the reality TV shows. I really do despair...

RTKMonherBROOMSTICK · 13/10/2005 11:53

DS would never smoke cos he gets very cross if he sees others smoke

like my little bro, he keeps telling him that he should stop but my bro doesn't take any notice

waterfalls · 13/10/2005 11:54

Why make an appearance on telly? is the mother proud of this or something? I would be deeply ashamed and would'nt breathe a word to anybody.

expatinscotland · 13/10/2005 11:54

I used to get cross when my dad smoked.

Then I became a smoker.

disliking smoking/drinking/drugs/sex when young does not necessarily mean you will never do them

My Mum is dying of lung cancer (at 54), my friend has lung cancer, two of my grandparents died of lung cancer, as did an aunt and my Dad died of a heart attack resulting from smoking (at 55). I always want to rip cigerettes out of peoples mouths. My children will never smoke. Infact my son at four doesn't have a word for it.

(Am not being judgemental of smokers just wish people would take on board the damage they could being doing to themselves and others )
