Thing is, that guy nearly died. On the one hand that awful woman trainer is telling them to push themselves further and further when their bodies cannot cope with that level of training. Infact I doubt most people of average weight could manage it. Then you have the Doctor telling him he needs to recognise his body's limits. They really can't win. Also, I don't think it's normal for people to vomit during exercise.

Exactly Monadami - I consider myself to be averagely fit and I would find that level of exercise v. difficult.

My spinning instructor used to say: effort "number one, walk in the park, number ten sick on the floor! I want you at number 8!" That was only some of the lesson at 45 minutes.

Yes, you've hit the nail on the head piste. I love Davina Fit, at the end of the dvd she talks to some ladies who've lost weight by diet and doing her exercising, she is so warm and genuine with them. She just doesn't seem right on this, bit patronising.

As for my spinning class - I've not been back since the bloody bike collapsed, don't know if you remember. I was bruised and scratched, should have sued them!

I have been half watching some of the biggest loser USA just now. Another row at weigh in.

It's ever so confrontational and more brutal in the USA version. And it's nearly 2 hours! Less obviously when one fast forwards through all the adverts.

When I'm stressed I lose the best weight

But yes to lose over a stone in a week

That's 3mths worth for me
