No the crash happens on peter stag night and I know him and Nick are trapped.

So Nick tells Peter then dies. Wedding is postponed because of crash. Peter has to work out whether or not to marry Leanne anyhow. They make it up in the New Year, and marry on 29 April (just like Ken & Deirdre marrying on Royal Wedding day in 1981).
