We've filled up one thread, let's see if we can get through another before the end of the series!

Think Ann is jiving too this week. Hope she visits Rigby&Pellor before Saturday!

crazybutterflylady · 24/11/2010 15:53

see here snowstorm

I googled it after others on this thread mentioned it

Shock
fartmeistergeneral · 24/11/2010 16:01

Hmm, not convinced! It also has the headline on the right hand side 'Gillian McKeith: I'm pregnant' and Steve Wright said today that she definitely ISN'T and Steve only spouts gospel truth.

Matt - cocky??! It's his non-cockiness that makes him so utterly shag-tastic.

fartmeistergeneral · 24/11/2010 16:02

My last post is a bit oxymoron-ic. With all the cocks and shagging I mean.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 24/11/2010 21:00

I'm another Claudia fan. She has been much funnier and sharper on ITT this series as she had tended to lapse into "How thrilled are you..." questions in the last series. I think she's making a point of dressing down on Sunday nights so as not to be seen to compete with Tess. She's very clever and always goes for the self deprecating approach. Remember last year when Bruce was ill and she filled in for Tess last year? Someone complimented her on her performance and she said "Oh no, I was rubbish". She has more wit, intelligence and personality in one fingernail than the fembot that is Tess - albeit a very attractive one - who has never said anything original or funny in all the years we have been watching her. She completely lacks empathy - excruciating to watch her usher people off the show at the end as she tries to finish the show - she couldn't care less how they feel and this really comes through. I'm far from being a fan of Bruce but he did seem to care when saying goodbye to the losing couple. I remember reading other threads which said that Tess is a nasty piece of work - some programme where she was a judge on some modelling show - and it really doesn't surprise me.

I feel better now that I have got that off my chest.

Kara - loved her routine and her. Saw what Len meant about them not being in hold but they still deserved more than 6.

Pamela - as others have said, can't warm to her. I think it's because, for all her elan and enthusiasm, she just comes across as false - the simpering "thank you" to camera etc. She looks as if she must have had dance training - even Len said this on ITT. It also doesn't help that she is saddled with the hard to like James. I thought she was way overmarked as she looked really uncomfortable in parts of her dance.

Matt - fab-u-lous as it's such a difficult dance.

Scott - strange that he was overmarked as I thought it was obvious that he looked uncomfortable and was not really moving his hips.

Patsy - not the most technical but love her energy and vulnerability. When Tess said at the end that you couldn't shut her up you could see Patsy look at her as though she had done something wrong. Surprised she was in the bottom 2 as I thought people would have warmed to her more like Laetitia Dean though maybe that's what has kept her in the competition so far.

Ann - thought it was really funny this week.

Gavin - surprised he is still in it but the puppy dog look will probably keep him in for a while longer. Loved Katya's dress.

Re. the comment on Alesha's marking - I agree that she can overmark but then so do Bruno and Len. What I love about her is that she is always so positive and often says what I feel - i.e. loving Patsy's vulnerability and that she was the right person to get the party started.

Re. the comment on Robin and Aliona - I assumed that Robin was gay??

Phew, didn't intend to write such a long post.

I feel a bit anxious because they are usually brilliant but I don't think they started training until late into the week and surely the jive is a really bad one to do with a sore neck ...

Looking forward to it. Got the crisps and dips in for me and the kids to relax and enjoy!! I love when good people do the jive, I hope Artem is well enough to pull it off

CaveMum · 27/11/2010 18:38

Marking my spot. In the middle of eating dinner so may post slowly!

Kara's Jive

Not her best dance. She was quite flat-footed and kicked from her hip a lot, rather than her knees. It wasn't a bad dance but certainly not "top class" as Alesha said.

jsgirl · 27/11/2010 18:47

Probably won't be watching until later, although I am hopeful of bribing DS2 with use of the computer so I can watch SCD sooner!

Keep me updated though please!

(Apologies for wanton use of exclamation marks)

potplant · 27/11/2010 18:52

OMFG

I'm double voting for everyone except Ann this week.

CaveMum · 27/11/2010 18:52

Hmm, personally I think Kara was overmarked. To me Craig was the only one to mark it correctly.

I wonder if they are overmarking everyone in order to drag Ann down?!

Anyway, Ann's Rumba

As awful as it was it did actually contain more basic Rumba steps than most other routines which just get straight to the flashy stuff.

She needs to go though.

megcleary · 27/11/2010 18:53

my eyes ..............

Skillbo · 27/11/2010 18:54

That was almost enjoyable to watch but at points she was totally the man...

Not over-excited about Kara either - kind of agreed with Craig x

nymphadora · 27/11/2010 18:55

Kara was aware if her mistakes though
Still think ann is over marked, only saw a couple of steps & they were wrong!

CaveMum · 27/11/2010 19:01

I should clarify my earlier post: Ann's Rumba contained basic Rumba steps but she was off time in all of them!

Patsy's Argentine Tango

Not a bad effort, but it seemed to lack some drive. She also had a slightly vacant expression. Odd for an actress!

Scott wasn't good at all.... not sure what happened - it started out really well but seemed to just dive and I wasn't sure if that last lift went right either??

CaveMum · 27/11/2010 19:09

Scott's American Smooth

Oh dear, he seemed to go wrong at least 3 times!
He is a good dancer, but that was not great.

On the upside, I love that song - DH and I have been learning to Foxtrot to it!

OP posts:
potplant · 27/11/2010 19:11

It looks like he slipped at the beginning and then looked like he forgot what he was supposed to be doing.

TBH he looks like he hasn't slept for a week.

Skillbo · 27/11/2010 19:21

Uuuuuuhhmmmm?

Gavin..... in trouble I think! Len is great though

CaveMum · 27/11/2010 19:24

Gavin's Jive

Judging by the training I thought it would be awful, but it wasn't as bad as I expected.

He is coming out of his shell more and more - can you imagine the Gavin of 6 weeks ago coming out and doing that?

The problem is if you keep saying you hate something you will convince yourself that you can't do it so you don't even try.
