dd age 7 adores Matt and so Do I.She said last night that she was going to cry if he did not win

Double elimination got to be Gavin, he's arrogant and crap - his jive was dire and Pamela, ridiculously overmarked, VW was ok but sure she stumbled a bit and found it a bit dull.

I think Scott and Gavin will go out in the double elimination. Scott's failed to fulfill his earlier promise - his last really good dance was the jive 4 weeks ago!

Gavin is good in hold, but so inconsistent he shouldn't go further in the competition.

I think the final will be between Matt and Kara. Artem's choreography is stronger than Aliona's IMHO, but I hope he doesn't blow it for the show dance as so many pros do. Natalie and Ricky last year, Vincent and Rachel the year before - they didn't build on the strengths of the celeb they had.

I can't bear the "Let's do a series of rolls, lifts and throws and call it a dance" routines. Much prefer "proper" dancing like Tom Chambers and Camilla!

I think scott has peaked and he cant keep going he whined said is tired with eastenders shoots and training .

Yet Matt is still working and they find the time even if its in the shetland isles or a field

oh no, I'd forgotten the show dance. I can just imagine what Aliona will coreograph. Better get used to the idea of Matt going then :(

Show dance Brings back horrific memories of Colin and Erin. I so wanted Colin to win as well - he was fab.

Anton has a son! That was a little unexpected. I will say that altho La Widdy couldn't dance for toffee, the relationship between the two of them was lovely.

tribpot they were talking about Jared who looks a bit like a mini Anton.

Ah! Thanks CaveMum I didn't recognise Jared, but did wonder if they were messing about. I thought it was a Brucie-Anton-Rob Brydon joke (looking like each other) I didn't realise it had been extended still further :) I see no resemblance whatsoever between Anton and Jared alas!

I didn't see that one. Continue to be haunted by the memory of thingywhatsit and Lisa's showdance ... truly disturbing and just wrong in every way ....

Yes, Lisa's showdance (I wanted to write snowdance then) was a thing of utter horror. And Colin's thing was dreadfully misguided too. I think he was the clear favourite til then.

OTOH we are spared the Widdy-Du Beke showdance, that would have been eye-gouging in the extreme.

I am certain that that is the sole reason why I can't warm to Erin while others say she is lovely. It doesn't matter that I wasn't supporting Colin; I'm still cross with her for that debacle!

The problem with Showdances is that it really is "anything goes".

I'm not a big fan of them myself, as they tend to be more acrobatics than dancing.

However I never fail to be impressed by Hanna Karttunen (who danced with Chris Parker in Series 1 of SCD) and her Professional Showdance from a few years ago.

That's incredible - didn't even see some of the transitions ...

I'm not a big fan of the show dances either (although those bendy professionals are pretty impressive). It always reminds more of something you'd see in a circus than at a dance show IYKWIM.

I would have thought Matt would be brilliant at a show dance though. His gymnastic stuff is incredible. All those back flips and cartwheels. And he's really good at the lifts too. I can imagine Aliona choreographing quite a good show dance.

So pleased to see the back of AW. Can't bear that woman. Good riddance.

I too was so happy that AW left the show. Phew - I was losing patience with the voting public.

Am not Gav's no. 1 fan but do like Katya - she is a great dancer.

For some reason I don't want Matt to win. I know Scott is flagging but there is something about him that I really like. Kara is really good too - maybe its something they feed them in the Eastenders canteen. Though not all EE stars do that well . Phil Daniels to name but one.

What was the big Erin faux pas?? Spill!

oh no!!! I didn't watch Strictly in those days (but have tickets for the tour and will see Colin then). What did the judges say??? Couldn't bear to watch!

Wondered if people fancied posting what their favourite ever strictly dance is??

I'm just having a think and a browse on You Tube so thought I'd set the ball rolling.

Love the bit on ITT where some of the professionals are voting for theirs.
