Why didn't she get arrested after she blew up the judge? There were hundreds of witnesses!

OP posts:
flamesparrow · 06/09/2005 18:26

I even tried to get into Tru... was starting to get interested and they bloody cancelled that as well

sfxmum · 06/09/2005 18:35

oh yes hated SMG always thinking she was too good for the part and went off to do family films(?!!!!) scooby doo?
anyhow bufy and angel was just a phase, that the pint that must be made to young girls, it seems loke the end of the world when the first goes but you survive and move on.
although Riley really! almost put me off season 4 and there is lots good there.

angerl was great ended up better than Buffy, love that ep with angel and wesley dancing at cordys party, still cracks me up

always liked spike from the 'annoying one' onwards, very funny

firefly was on sci fi channel ages ago.

i keep looking for series who employ buffy writers, been watching the gilmore girls, miss buffy speak

also spike actor on next series of smallvile, i have never watched it realy. always feels like dirty old woman lusting after pretty young thing

back to my dvds only thing i watched while pregnant and in labour had musical on i-pod sad i know

sfxmum · 06/09/2005 18:36

and obviously i cant type or spell

nerdgirl · 06/09/2005 18:38

James Marsters is 43 sfxmum so you can't be that dirty! Though the things I've fantisised about doing to Spike would probably put me in that category despite being younger than him!!

flamesparrow · 06/09/2005 18:45

I think I got most of that... seemed very stream of consciousness style! Riley was very easily shootable. I think I never really got over Oz leaving. Probably because he left on a high. He didn't wait for his character/the storylines to go stale, he went out when I still cared.

By the end I was watching more through dedication than love I did see one today (one of the first of the last season I think) and Spike had the wavy hair thing going on, and it made it all worthwhile

Season 2 was the best by me - all dark and grumpy with lots of Grr from Angel.

I was preferring Angel by the end too, never been too sure if that was because it was better, or that Buffy was losing its spark (or maybe they were just going through the motions by then... losing all their drive... ).

I can analyse this for hours. I have far too much Buffy and Angel trivia bouncing round in my head for my own good!

I tried watching Point Pleasant because Marti Noxon co-created or wrote it or something, but I couldn't get into it.

Always watched Smallville though, so a big yay from me there!

flamesparrow · 06/09/2005 18:48

Oooh, I watched it all through pregnancy with DD too... she would settle for the Buffy theme tune when she was born, and any of the Once More With Feeling soundtrack (DH bought it for me that Christmas when I was pregnant).

She would wake up for Angel without fail though ... and ended up up to watch all of it with us, and going to bed very late!

nerdgirl · 06/09/2005 18:50

Also loved Season 2 Flamesparrow but have to say Season 6 was my favourite.

All together now - "I've got a theory, that it's a demon. A dancing demon? No. Something isn't right there..."

tribpot · 06/09/2005 18:52

FORTY-THREE, can't believe it! Guess he must really be a vampire after all

It was slightly odd how Buffy couldn't be mentioned at all after Angel S1 but then 'featured' quite heavily in S5 despite, as you say, random hair-tossing girl appearing on her behalf.

I'm afraid for me 'most irritating Buffy/Angel character ever' award goes to Connor, with Dawn in close second. Can't believe the writers pulled the "let's introduce a really annoying teen character for our younger audience" trick twice.

Equally gutted about Firefly, and well worth watching on DVD. The amount of cr*p TV networks are happy to churn out, but Firefly gets cancelled ...

Willow2 · 06/09/2005 18:55

Plus Connor was way too much of a facially challenged dork to have ever have been Angel and Darla's kid.

SoupDragon · 06/09/2005 18:55

Anyone else love the very silly Angel-as-a puppet- episode of Angel?

marthamoo · 06/09/2005 18:55

Doh! Course I meant Angel (just testing...)

Dawn and Connor equally deserving of sending to a Hell dimension. Why did they introduce Dawn? Was she for the teen audience or something?

Can't believe James Marsters is 43

SoupDragon · 06/09/2005 18:56

Yes! Connor was waaaaay too ugly!

serenity · 06/09/2005 18:58

haven't got time to post now, but can I just say

Spike.......phowar, even if he is a bit on the short side

and Buffy makes a good comment in the last episode about Spike and Angel wrestling with baby oil, which struck me as one of her better ideas!

Need to get S5 Angel now for the Angel/Spike bits

nerdgirl · 06/09/2005 19:04

Yes! Soupy that was an amazing episode. Loved Spike's reaction!! "They're looking at the wee, little puppet man." tee hee!!

SoupDragon · 06/09/2005 19:09

Liked the bit where there female werewolf woke up with lots of fluffy stuffing around her. Snigger.

nerdgirl · 06/09/2005 20:15

And wasn't that the episode when Fred and Wes finally got together?

I cried my eyes out when she died.

sfxmum · 06/09/2005 22:04

oh i feel at home!
nerdgirl - did not mean JM but the boy superman whatever his name is. bit farm boy but we all have our flaws.

so did not like Riley! (again and again...) that ep when he got back with wife - puke

faves
something blue
once more with feeling
the body
not in that order and way too many to mention

i liked all the silly angel eps too from felt boy to the italian one

. say not more spit filthy people...
not pc but funny

harpsichordcarrier · 07/09/2005 00:07

oh god let's talk about this some more when I don't have to go to bed...
your homework, ladies:
why Joss Whedon is a undisputed genius and deserves to be made president (at least) in less than 100 words

She's not even half the girl she... Ow!

serenity · 07/09/2005 00:19

Why should Joss Whedon be made President of the World?

Just because.... but because he made a die hard cynic like me cry like a baby with The Body.

And then when my FIL died I could go back to it and draw comfort (from a TV program WTF!! Genius writer)

He needs to write more, someone should lock him in a small room until he produces more stuff

nerdgirl · 07/09/2005 07:50

And what about 'Hush'? OMG how can anything be so funny and so terrifying without dialogue?!?!?

Sorry about the case of mistaken identity sfxmum. I was just too quick in associating dirty thoughts and Spike - can't think why?

Has anyone seen the extended version of the Firefly blooper reel ? They're great. Look out for the one on gagreel3 from 'The Message' - it's hilarious!!

flamesparrow · 07/09/2005 09:30

Oooh so many people and messages!

Once more with feeling and the puppet angel are the best for random comedy episodes. Hush is the best for demons - although I got bitter that Buffy just assumed that she was the fairy princess type person who has to get the voices back - why couldn't it be someone else for a change (yeah yeah, I know she's the slayer in the title...)

I cried with the body but cried most with Oz leaving, and when Buffy broke up with Angel - the line of it didn't hurt yet "Right now I'm just trying to keep from dying" (we need a bawling out eyes smilie guy)

Gonna watch bloopers with DH later

Angel episodes... The Spike/Oz crossover with the "Quick, to the angelmobile"

Puppet...

Oooh, and many others that I can't think of right now. cordy's last one made me cry too.

I wasn't desperately struck by Connor's ugliness, or that upset by him being in it... Dawn on the other hand was pure pure madness.

sfxmum · 08/09/2005 10:28

always struck by the number of 'in the closet' fans. ' dont really like it but...' and out come extreme details and quotes.
shameful! am on TP on that one, what is wrong with liking the genre, usually much better written that the tripe out there.

that a weight off my chest

harpsichordcarrier · 08/09/2005 10:43

I am not in the closet, I am OUT AND PROUD..

serenity · 08/09/2005 16:45

I am dancing on top of the closet, in my Buffy t-shirt, with my pseudoWillow hair, shouting 'WATCH BUFFY, WATCH ANGEL, WATCH FIREFLY. GO AND SEE THE D*MN FILM!!!)

I feel better now.

flamesparrow · 08/09/2005 17:49

I'm crazy and obsessive and proud. I tend to overthink it and then criticise it lots though, which bugs me
