Anyone who's dipshit enough to buy a £250,000, 18th century house without bothering to do a structural survey before purchase deserves a swift kick in the jacksie, not help from a show.

What a pair of dumbasses.

Tempted to turn over as these people don't deserve a jot of sympathy, much less bailed out.

I don't blame Sarah, though. She's a clever clogs.

Missed that bit, what a pair of plonkers.

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:14

Yeah. No structural survey. More money than sense.

Meglet · 10/08/2010 20:16

I had a full survey on my 1960's house.

Those people are beyond daft.

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:17

This gal gets more and more stoopid as it goes on. 'It's really frustrating to live like this.'

Oh, fuck off, dumbass!

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:22

They're both brain donors.

smallorange · 10/08/2010 20:23

Is she pregnant AGAIN??

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:25

He's a lazy arse as well. Didn't want to be 'tied up' every weekend pointing his own fucking house, but doesn't have the money to pay for it. So guess what, tough shit, lazy arse!

Oh, he didn't want to do a lot of DIY, either.

But was fool arse enough to buy a 300-year-old house.

These people are too fucking brain dead to have been granted a mortgage.

OP posts:
TheCrackFox · 10/08/2010 20:26

Why on Earth did a mortgage company give them a mortgage?

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:28

Yes, when it's obvious they had no structural survey.

Gah, they're dumb.

OP posts:
StormyWeather · 10/08/2010 20:28

Just what I was thinking - I'm amazed they got a mortgage/

glastocat · 10/08/2010 20:30

Agree they are stupid fuckers!the previous owner saw them coming!

CarGirl · 10/08/2010 20:31

Who would buy a house with an internal well without a survey Shock

TheCrackFox · 10/08/2010 20:36

Who would buy a house with an internal well at all?

dingdong3 · 10/08/2010 20:36

smallorange that's exactly what I just said to my DH...she must have about 10 kids Grin

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:39

They're very lucky to be getting all these free surveys they were too damn stupid and cheap not to have done in the first place.

Sarah has 4 sons now.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:40

This guy just wants something for nothing.

OP posts:
TheCrackFox · 10/08/2010 20:41

Masonary Bees?

What the hell are they?

TheCrackFox · 10/08/2010 20:42

He is a lazy sod isn't he?

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:45

What did he expect? An old house that doesn't need constant maintenance? He's even more brain dead than I thought! Old houses, all of them, need constant maintenance. I mean, duh! Every house does!

We rented a 130-year-old house that had been kept in excellent nick by our friend and landlord.

Still, in the 2 years we rented it, he had to spend £2000 on the old drains, have the roof re-lined, get a wasp exterminator out, replace some of the wiring, vent an old chimney.

When he came home, he completely modernised it, doing loads of the work himself.

It cost about £50,000.

I mean, it's an old house!

OP posts:
FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/08/2010 20:47

I wonder who said let's buy it, we don't need a survey, can't make up my mind.

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:48

Lemme guess? Her dumb ass.

OP posts:
TheCrackFox · 10/08/2010 20:49

I am blaming him.

expatinscotland · 10/08/2010 20:49

She had a 'dream' of living in a period house.

[rolls eyes]
