Do 14 yr old boys wear jeans?

Do any of your 14 yr old boys own a pair of jeans??

My son only wear sports bottoms and hoodies. Probably 2 winters ago he would wear a shirt and jeans but now he owns neither.

He is going on a theatre visit with school and they stipulate no sportswear or hoodies.

Are jeans a real no go for teenage boys nowadays?

Mine doesn't but he is not into fashion at all. Gave up buying jeans only for him to grow out of them.
Just trackie bottoms for him.

StillNotWarm · 13/10/2022 22:22

My 13 yr old does, but he has no sense of fashion.

Hoolihan · 13/10/2022 22:22

Yes mine does all the time, massive baggy ones. I really hate trackie bottoms and refuse to buy them!

Houndofthebaskethills · 13/10/2022 22:22

Not in my experience no . At a push black jeans maybe but never blue.

Tittyfilarious81 · 13/10/2022 22:25

Nope they all wear sports pants that are slim fitting that I see all the time and my 16 year old says boys don't really wear jeans

Houndofthebaskethills · 13/10/2022 22:31

I hate joggers too but as teens they get to choose what they want within reason.

FrankTheThunderbird · 13/10/2022 22:32

Mine do. 15 year old wears the super skinny ones and looks amazing

Notjusta · 13/10/2022 22:34

Mine has a pair of very baggy vintage Levi's oand a pair of baggy chinos - kind of skater style.

Hoolihan · 13/10/2022 22:35

Mine is kind of an indie kid/alternative type, not sporty at all, which probably makes a difference.

Rooster67 · 13/10/2022 22:35

DS refused to wear jeans from 10 to 16. He’s just started wearing them again.

SheWoreYellow · 13/10/2022 22:35

Do you know any of the other parents enough to ask what their child will be wearing? Or can your son ask his friends?

Galarunner · 13/10/2022 22:37

My 16 year old wears jeans, or combat trousers he is very punk rock and would never be seen in sports wear like joggers. He has one pair of smartish black jeans that he wears for work etc.

tigger1001 · 13/10/2022 22:37

Neither of mine wear jeans. Both wear sports stuff/slim fit joggers/shorts

MyLovelyPen · 13/10/2022 22:37

It’s the fashion not to. My 13 yr old lives in joggers which are “cool” but I bloody hate them. Luckily my 15 yr old thinks “fashion” is nonsense and lives in jeans.

AwfulTed · 13/10/2022 22:44

Jeans are detested by my 14yo, h&m often have acceptable alternatives : thin cargo trousers or other trousers that look smart but feel like joggies . In truth , I’ve turned against denim too, just not comfortable!

N0tfinished · 13/10/2022 22:47

Mine has one pair of black skinny jeans that he has only worn to a teenage disco. Never wears them otherwise.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 13/10/2022 22:50

DS does but like others above, he’s very skater/ emo or whatever try call them nowadays.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/10/2022 22:51

My 14 yo DS doesn't like jeans either. He mostly wears joggers because it's all I can get that fit - he's too big fur kids courted and too skinny for men's!

StapFooterin · 13/10/2022 22:58

Before the pandemic, my now 14yo DS wore jeans all the time. Sitting in the house caused him to switch to joggers (no actual jogging required it seems!) and now he refuses to wear anything else. His 10yo brother is the same. They call them comfy bottoms😅

rainbowandglitter · 13/10/2022 22:59

My 12 yo wears jeans.

dementedpixie · 13/10/2022 23:00

The only trousers ds owns are his school trousers. He wears shorts when not at school

Itisbetter · 13/10/2022 23:03

Mine do and chino-ish ones. Tracksuits are more semi pj than out and about.

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 13/10/2022 23:22

I get mine to wear jogger jeans when he needs to be a bit smarter, otherwise he prefers tracksuit bottoms/joggers.
The jogger jeans are from Next and are pull on, drawstring which look like jeans but are softer like joggers.

user1477249785 · 13/10/2022 23:24

Mine doesn't own a pair and won't wear them

Orders76 · 13/10/2022 23:35

Sports gear only for sports round here.
So the teens wear jeans if not playing sports, has to be a decent colour and skinny cut thought .
