Girlfriend staying the night?

JellySlice · 02/03/2018 00:30

17yo ds has asked if his gf can stay the night. They've been a couple for about 4 months. My instinct is to say yes (but keep the noise down). Dh is struggling with it. He admits that it's a further growing-up step that he wasn't ready for.

He asks, what about the gf, is it up to us to decide for her? What about how her parents might feel about this? We don't know her parents, have just met briefly, on the odd occasions when they picked her up from us. She's the same age as ds.

I now have sons of 19 and 17. I don't think I will bring up the subject of lube over Sunday dinner. But thanks for the SUGGESTION.

DS2 has gone out, he may not be back for lunch. Angry Maybe he has an inkling. Grin

He's possibly gone to the sex shop sparkling He'll bring back his purchases and you can all discuss them together over tea and crumpets this afternoon Grin

Looks like dinner will now be later. I think you might be right cloud. DH and I can show him the best ways to use them perhaps. Lovely. Grin

Make jelly and ice-cream for pudding and then casually say 'jelly is a bit like lube in texture isn't it?'. Something completely unalarming like that.

clairethewitch70 · 25/03/2018 16:01

squoosh don't forget the squirty cream Grin

DullAndOld · 25/03/2018 16:05

jesus H Christ do you people not know what 'lube' is for ? and what 'porn generation ' boys expect?

yeh right on, sisters, buy your son lube with the weekly shop..Hmm

Banterlope · 25/03/2018 16:13

Lube would be very thoughtful and not at all embarrassing. But why stop there? How about a J-cloth and rubber gloves for the post-shag mop up, perhaps some Swarfega and a penis beaker? It's the little things that mean a lot

Brilliant squoosh, and YY to squirty cream. Grin

It doesn't look as if the sit down meal I envisaged might happen today. BUT we could invite my parents over for Easter Sunday, and get their input on the matter.
