I'm going out of my mind, we have had ongoing arguments with my 14 y/o dd regarding Facebook and we discovered last night she was still on Facebook even after we shut down her account.
She has been posting sexual pictures and talking dirty to 16/17 yr old boys
There was a big argument, and this morning she was gone.
We have spoken to police, and from FB chat, we know she was with an older boy last night at 12:19am, but no idea where she is now
The police are looking, my DH and ds1 are out looking but I have to stay in case she comes back and I am do scared, I don't know what to do.

He said she told him she would see him at school tomorrow and went home

He is not a nice boy, has a criminal record for drugs

Can the school pull all her friends to one side, with a teacher who they like, and have an honest chat to them to see if there are any clues as to where she might be...... you would hope they would want to help make sure she is safe and well

tantrumsandballoons · 16/03/2012 08:51

She didn't take anything with her and she is definitely not at school.

have you put her picture up on fb so people can pass it about, just incase anyone who isnt a friend sees her

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 16/03/2012 08:55

Sounds hopeful to me that she is with friends or a (new ?) boyfriend.

Try not to worry too much. Hoping she will be in touch/be found very soon as day breaks Smile

How are things today?

AwkwardMary · 16/03/2012 08:59

Tantrums I well remember being that age and I spent a few nights like that...my poor parents......I slept at various friends homes...some are gven a lot of free reign and their parents hardly know when they have a friend over.

I bet she has stayed at a friends and then gone on a wander around town....can you get into town to look for her? SHopping centres etc?

marthastew · 16/03/2012 09:02

Oh op. Agree with the poster who suggests contacting her friends with a picture via FB. They'll all have their phones on them in school so the message would get round very quickly.

Fuzzywood · 16/03/2012 09:19

Do you know which of her friends live closest to this boy? Are they in school today? Hoping you get good news soon.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 16/03/2012 09:21

That's an idea Fuzzy - maybe the school could have a think and let you know about any of her friends who are absent today too ?

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 16/03/2012 09:23

Oh, golly tantrum what a nightmare for you!

I hope your dd comes home very soon.

marthastew · 16/03/2012 09:27

When she is safely back home, it might be worth getting in touch with FB about what she is using it for. I know its not the best approach but it might be worth thinking about if she is not listening to you.

bumpsnowjustplump · 16/03/2012 09:28

Oh no I really hope you find her soon. Agree with other re talking to head to see if any of her friends are off school today. Also does she have a close friend you could talk to find out if anything has been upsetting her recently. I really feel for you Sadand am so sorry you are going through this...

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/03/2012 09:58

twolittlemonkeys · 16/03/2012 10:13

Just seen this, you must be beside yourself with worry. I hope she is found safe and sound very soon. ((un-MN hugs)). Definitely need to try to get her friends onboard looking for her, using social media etc.

Bumperlicious · 16/03/2012 10:19

Oh blimey - you poor thing. Hope by now she's showed up with her tail between her legs and all's well.

Jux · 16/03/2012 11:24

How terrible. I remember when my brother did this, same age. Parents were out of their minds (as was I). I do hope she turns up quickly.

OlympicGoldPennies · 16/03/2012 11:26

Any news?

noddyholder · 16/03/2012 11:28

Hope you get some good news soon. The teenage years are so so hard xx

Kellywestie · 16/03/2012 11:30

Can't stop thinking about you OP. Hope you have managed to find your DD or she has been in contact - every parents worst nightmare.

noddyholder · 16/03/2012 11:34

Me too Sad.

LitterPicker · 16/03/2012 11:34

Hope she is ok - my niece had a habit of doing this - she had always stayed with a friend. I don't have any advice, sorry, but my thoughts are with you.
