Just bought the vaping version on audio ... am excited to start!! Looking to hear any success stories through Allen Carr, be it smoking, vaping, weight loss etc.

Not interested in stories where it didn't work - positives only please! Xxxx

Wonderful. Wishing you much success. I used his methods and read the book. I have been vape free for over 5 years. Do exactly as he suggests and vape whilst you read or listen. I read the book in one sitting. I threw all my vape stuff away immediately. It was painless, and for me easy. I was a chain vaper and smoked cigarettes as well occasionally for years. Best of 🤞. Ps I had no cravings or problems either, no weight gain either 😁

A success story here! I stopped smoking three years ago with the Allen Carr Stop Smoking The Easy Way audio book for women. I had tried everything else over the years. I stopped overnight and never craved tobacco since. Good luck!

Yes me! I gave up smoking years ago with the Alan Carr book. Many, many previous failures, but it was so strange - with the book, I couldn't wait to stop and then never looked back. I liked that he reframed it as freeing yourself, rather than giving up something pleasurable. He made me get cross with cigarette manufacturers.

gimmemounjaro · 22/09/2024 23:38

Me 🙋‍♀️

Gave up smoking three months ago using Allen Carr and also the QuitSure app which uses similar principles. (You have to subscribe to QS iirc but you only need a month so just cancel before the second payment.) I have given up before using Champix but have never managed it by myself. This time it was so easy.

FuckThePoPo · 23/09/2024 12:09

I stopped (don't say 'gave up' as it implies something good) about 15 years ago now. Once you know the truth you can't unknow it! You don't need luck, you just need to listen 😊

ienjoyeatingcake · 23/09/2024 17:50

Thank so so much everyone for your replies, this is exactly what I hoped to hear! I started it this morning and it's so interesting isn't it? Actually really enjoying it Xxx

I read the stop smoking book 10 years ago, and I haven't smoked since. While I was reading it I thought it was shite and couldn't understand how people gave up but I did and have never craved one since!

@ienjoyeatingcake worked anyway 😂😉

I bought the book for my sister 20 years ago. Read it before I gave it to her thinking, this will be rubbish. He says carry on smoking while you read the book - how can that work? Well, it did and I haven't smoked a cigarette since (from 15 a day). I had a large pack of jelly babies in the car just in case which was just a prop really. Gave book to my sister who never read it and.....carried on smoking. Give it a go!

LucyD30 · 24/09/2024 14:56

I read the quit smoking one 15 years ago and not smoked since. Read the alcohol one about a month ago and not had a drink since!

Clarabell77 · 26/09/2024 05:49

Worked for me with cigarettes over 10 years ago, it was like a penny dropping. Good luck!

FuckThePoPo · 26/09/2024 08:00

How's it going @ienjoyeatingcake

Greentreesandbushes · 26/09/2024 08:02

Me exactly! The same time frame and same scepticism but it was actually amazing. One of the few times where life changes abruptly in a good way. X

Gummibärchen · 28/10/2024 03:40

Did you try the sugar addiction one, OP? I used the EasyWeigh weight loss programme (book and hypnotherapy audio) and was very successful. I don't know if the sugar one includes hypnosis or not - that IMO was the secret sauce as to EasyWeigh's success. Anyway, wishing you the best of luck with it; do keep us posted!

farleysrusks · 28/10/2024 05:29

I stopped smoking with Allen Carr 20 years ago, after smoking 20 a day for 25 years. I don’t know if they’re still available but I attended a one day AC stop smoking course. I feel physically healthier now at 60 than i did at 40 when I was still smoking. I would recommend his methods.

MozartsMothballs · 15/11/2024 13:32

Am loving reading these success stories! I'm doing an online Allen Carr seminar next Thursday, I'm really looking forward to being a non-smoker after 27 years.

@ienjoyeatingcake are you still vape-free?

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 15/11/2024 13:44

I read the book over 22 years ago and haven't smoked since. He really does demolish all the reasons you think you have for smoking. It doesn't make you feel good or remove boredom or relieve stress. It just damages your health and costs a load of money.

It's self hypnosis and it works. I used to smoke 40 Silk Cut ultra low a day, minimum.
