Thank you rick omg what a brilliant thread addition it's like having Oprah here.

What do you think the chances of yoga tim stepping on here too?

But you know wha, I'm just feeling sad and jealous I can't give it al up and get a buzz from sitting under a tree and making bread

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 16/07/2017 22:49

Rick you're a cool dude. I love your spin.
Just some humid drizzle and lots of blooming flying ants here today Ponz Wink

We can do it. I'm starting to realise it's not just stopping, it's changing your entire attitude which is inspiring but daunting.

Do you think you can put a time scale on when you move out of the first painful difficult bit and it gets easier? 6 months? A year?

Surfed another day anyway..
Serial hope you're ok and not tangled up in some seaweed somewhere.
Night all x

Its taken me alot of courage to post on this thread.

I used to do it a lot when i was younger. And then last year me and dp decided to have a few lines on a weekend away.

It quickly spiralled into every weekend and sometimes into monday. We would both get horrible comedowns which made us argue i mean really scream and shout until the next friday when we would have some more. So we decided to quit and we did.

Last night he went out with friends and didnt come home until 6.45 am i knew he had had some because he would never stay out that late unless he had.

I had a really shit day i was very very tired because i stayed up until about 6 waiting for him as i was worried. Tonight i went to a family bbq and had a few glasses of wine and was thinking about how much i wanted a line just to chill out theres no way i can get any anymore so i was fine i think i just associate it with drinking.

However when i got home i went into the wardrobe and i found some it was DPs from last night at first i was angry with him but he's been asleep since he got in has not helped me at all today so instead of confronting him i took it. I knew what i was doing i knew id have some and i did i meant to only have a bit but i had it all. Im not sure how much was in there maybe half a gram. FFS im so angry at myself and im working in the morning this will no doubt lead to arguements again for the next week.

Morning all, welcome name change - hope today isn't too stressful for you.

I was more than a bit French last night, but I didn't visit Columbia!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 17/07/2017 07:19

Hi Name cocaine is a sneaky bastard. It complicates everything doesn't it? Don't underestimate how strong you are. It must have been so difficult for you (and dp) to quit but you did.

Don't be too hard on yourself and your partner for going back to it yesterday. I think the addict bit of us is always lying dormant waiting for an opportunity. It's made me behave in ways I'm not proud of.

Come back and let us know how you are if you can. I'll be on later to chat.

Zut Alors Serial! A clean if slightly continental weekend for you.

Happy Monday all Smile

Hi Name, hope you're not feeling too bad today. Try not to overanalyse things today, it's the worse thing to do on a comedown. You and your dp have done really well to give it up, just see this as a minor blip, it's so easy to do. I can understand you being cross with him and if there was some in the house and I'd had a drink I would tooConfused Don't be too hard on yourself, theses things happen.

NameChange60 · 17/07/2017 20:44

Thanks everyone.

Think i finally fell asleep at about 6.30 had to be up for work at 7! Very shaky when i got there and horrible stuffy nose all day. I certainly have forgotten about all this.

Had a long bath when I got in and a mcdonalds Grin. Felt so shit all day and just kept cringing at myself for last night I am really bloody annoyed with myself.

But thanks again ill certainly stay on this thread i really want to know about the oven dish!

serialtester · 17/07/2017 20:55

Glad you're feeling ok! The oven dish is my weak spot. Went for MONTHS without anything until I went round to a mates house to borrow an oven dish. Had many lines, posted a load of bollocks here and got a thread deleted!! Oven dishes are bad news!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 17/07/2017 21:09

Welcome aboard Name. Glad you're feeling a bit more positive.
Gawd, the horror of trying to get to sleep wired! Birds tweeting and your alarm going off just as you nod off.

At least you've reminded yourself it's not all that great really!

Poor Serial the oven dish follows you everywhere Grin

I ran home from work in the heatwave silly me. Just about recovered now. Confused

OP posts:
serialtester · 17/07/2017 21:11

I accidentally ran to the pub to meet a friend! It was an oven dish free pub!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 17/07/2017 21:29

I hope your mate asked at the bar Serial? Grin
"Can I check if this pub is an oven free zone, my friend has a serious allergy"......
"Yes I am being serious, of course this isn't a wind up"

serialtester · 17/07/2017 22:03

I no longer cook - just to be on the safe side!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 17/07/2017 22:06

That sounds sensible.

Post bath and feeling calmer. I'm wearing a nightie tonight, too warm for PJs! Having a drink in the garden to channel my inner Rick.
Sorry I posted a random P. Ignore that.

OP posts:
serialtester · 18/07/2017 20:54

A nightie is quite racy!!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 18/07/2017 21:00

Er it's more of a big t shirt really Grin Far too embarrassing to answer the door to my dealer in so it might help as a deterrent.
Fetches mop for the p..

OP posts:
NameChange60 · 18/07/2017 23:11

GrinGrin love the oven dish story!!

Nineties I hope your nightie has deterred any dealers tonight!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 19/07/2017 19:02

Thanks Name there was method to my nightie madness, it seemed to work!

Hope y'all ok. Had a really long day at work and looking forward to a bath and bed tonight x

OP posts:
serialtester · 19/07/2017 20:30

Long day here too. Long day tomorrow. On Friday I'll be too tired for oven dishes.

Well done on last night lost. Even though you broke protocol and wore a nightie!

WhatAFuckUp · 20/07/2017 09:49

Day 6 clean after two slip ups last week... my mood swings are appalling Confused

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 20/07/2017 10:13

Keep going What it will get easier. I get the bad mood swings after a while off it and feel a bit all over the place. It's easy to be tempted by the old trusty mood leveller when you feel like that. Of course it doesn't help in the long run.
Stay strong Flowers

There was a thread in AIBU this morning "Cutting out coke anyone want to join me" I had visions of the Op cutting up lines and offering it round.. Shock but it was actually about erm...Coca-Cola. Grin

ponzusoup · 20/07/2017 14:09

Lost that's hilarious. Hi what. Im on day 5. Got a very moody pre teen in the house so not sure who is worse!

Hang on in there.

On another note I think I've got mice. Just either a mouse or a small rat run across kitchen. Advice please? Or is that another thread?
