I like the swiss railway ones (Mondaine)
Don't put them in the washing machine though

traceybath · 06/06/2010 21:04

Stainless steel cartier tank francaise - I love it but it was rather £££.

harpsichordcarrier · 06/06/2010 21:05

this one

fairly waterproof and all round lush

Tn0g · 06/06/2010 21:09

I keep losing watches but at the moment I have black steel French Connection bracelet watch.

I also have a putti swatch watch which I bought in 1985 and still wear now and again.

I'm amazed I haven't ever lost it.

SparklyJules · 06/06/2010 21:12

I have a lovely Swatch watch that H bought me in the Swatch shop in Munich. I don't know where it is though. It's the second one from the same shop that I've lost, er, misplaced.

cyb · 06/06/2010 21:14

Actually it wasnt 1985 it was later than that [that I bought my swatch watch]

boring info alert.

MegBusset · 06/06/2010 21:17

I got my previous watch for my 21st birthday and wore it for about eight years but no longer like the style.

This one, it took me ages to relax enough to wear it out of the house as it was so expensive! DP bought it for me years ago.

I had a lovely Storm watch before that.

CDMforever · 06/06/2010 21:21

I have a stunningly beautiful Omega Constellation watch that DH bought me for out 1st xmas together as marrieds. And as it cost about the same price as my first car I will never buy another watch again.

ShadeofViolet · 06/06/2010 21:22

I have a Baby G pink one.

I love it but I have lost the instructions. Its supposed to set the time automatically but it hasnt changed since the clocks went forard to its an hour late. I really should google the instructions!

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 06/06/2010 21:23

Tag Heuer Xmas pressie 14 years ago from DH. Also have a Dolce and gabanna dress watch .

TrinityTrinityTrinity · 06/06/2010 21:25

Trin I haven't worn one for years but have got fed up of dropping my iPhone every time I fish it out of my pocket to look at the time!

OP posts:
samsonara · 06/06/2010 21:28

my last watch was a seiko kinetic, but I have now not worn a watch for 5 years and when ever I think about getting one I don't need it to tell the time because my mobile phone does that.

VinegarTits · 06/06/2010 21:28

swatch

SofaQueen · 06/06/2010 21:28

Another Cartier Tank wearer. It's subtle and practical.

janeite · 06/06/2010 21:29

I usually have a Swatch, as most others bring me out in a rash but the straps break stupidly easily on them.

So I am now wearing an M&S one (black strap, big face - like something from Dali or Alice In Wonderland) which, even on its tightest hole, is too big for me so doesn't sit still long enough for me to react to it!

Don't get expensive watches at all.

VinegarTits · 06/06/2010 21:34

my swatch has a metal strap, had it for years, i love it and people always comment on it

HairExtensions · 06/06/2010 21:34

I'm not into watches but DH is in a big way(he buys and sells them)

I have 2 x Omega, 1 x Longines (vintage), 1 x Gucci, and 2 x Tag Heuer

but I wear a Sekonda my Grannie bought me years ago, much to DHs disgust.
