BecauseImWorthIt · 06/06/2010 21:58

This is my watch - DH bought it for me about 10 years ago

MrsSeanBean · 06/06/2010 22:23

Here is mine, I've had it for almost 20 years and worn it practically every day. I love it

teafortwo · 06/06/2010 22:52

I have two watches. One that works and one that does not.

The first one is one that my paternal Grandfather gave me for my 18th birthday. The week he died it stopped and has never worked again!

My Mother, fed up with my constant lateness, routed through a drawer in the spare room and gave me a watch at the bottom of it to use instead. It was only after I had been wearing it a bit she explained to me that it used to be my Grandmother's watch and I suspect that she had left it by her bed the night of her fatal accident.

Actually I really love my watches they make me feel like a character in a quite thick, earnest and serious novel.

I need a new watch as mine recently died. I was thinking of this as it weems pretty practical.

monkeysmama · 06/06/2010 23:09

This is mine.

MrsC2010 · 07/06/2010 12:10

Stainless Steel Maurice Lacroix Swiss jobby. (That's not the style name by the way!)

Very understated, lifetime guarantee, totally waterproof and pretty bombproof too goven the wear it has seen over the last 8 yrs that I've had it!

Fairly pricey (not extortionate IMO), Goldsmiths sell them.

MrsC2010 · 07/06/2010 12:16

Closest I can find to mine (But mins is nicer though!)

Quite fancy this one though, maybe not just yet however! £££££££

lambanana · 07/06/2010 12:19

DKNY chocolate brown steel one. Bloody love it.

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 07/06/2010 12:21

I also have a Maurice Lacroix jobbie - have had it for 17 years so they obviously are long-lasting!

It feels pretty much part of me now, even though when I notice it I remember how bored I am with it.

But I'm really bad at shopping for accessories - don't know where to start etc, so will prob carry on wearing it until it falls apart!

hannahsaunt · 07/06/2010 12:22

Gorgeous Paul Smith watch with a leather strap. It's a wind up one.

weblette · 07/06/2010 12:25

Dh got me this one in the States a few years ago. Simple, solid and indestructible so far.

dexter73 · 07/06/2010 12:34

I have this Breil watch.

diddl · 07/06/2010 12:36

A Timex wind up from when I was a child & a silver Rotary windup that I had for my 18th.

Love them both -and save on batteries!

serenity · 07/06/2010 12:40

I have a lovely silver Guess one which my SIL bought me for mine and DHs 20th anniversary/10th Wedding anniversary, it's just a little too dressy for everyday plus I'm used to using my phone now.

I'd love to have my plain black Swatch back that was stolen from hospital when I was in having DS2. It was perfect. I still have the Swatch I got for my 16th birthday, it just doesn't work unfortunately.

MaryBS · 07/06/2010 12:45

I have a Citizen Eco-drive bracelet watch. I love it!

callalilies · 07/06/2010 12:47

This Gucci horsebit one. I wear it everyday, no point having an expensive watch and keeping it for 'best' imo.

oiteach · 07/06/2010 12:51

I have a silver and steel Amani which my partner bought for me a few yrs ago. I also have a black Casio digital watch from the 80's.

BelleDameSansMerci · 07/06/2010 12:57

I love watches...

I x Tag; 1 x Raymond Weil (Parsifal which is lovely); 3 x Gucci; 1 x D&G; and loads of them.

Would love, love, love a Cartier though!

purplepeony · 07/06/2010 13:09

How much do you want to spend?
I have an Omega mini constellation in stainless steel, which I treated myslf to as I had had my other watch- a Tissot- for 35 years.

If you want quality I'd suggest Omega, Cartier, Ebel and Tag. From about £500 for Ebel and Tag.

I like classic with a modern twist so have bought to last.
