yes!

Jaquelinehyde · 03/05/2010 17:37

I would put her in something simple like thiswww.monsoon.co.uk/Day-Dresses/Rochelle-Black-Lace-Dress/invt/65215003&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,dress es,smartdresses

with bright cardi if she wanted her arms covering/keeping warm, and a chunky knecklace and cuff/bracelet.

Jaquelinehyde · 03/05/2010 17:40

Sorry don't know why that happened.

here again

ruddynorah · 03/05/2010 17:45

i know what you're saying bonsoir you don't want justine looking to eveningy, over dressed kind of thing.

but, like su, most of us want her in a fab frock with beautiful accessories, simple and chic.

personally i'd want to know what the set's going to look like before i commit. i mean, you don't want to be sat on a green sofa in a red dress do you?

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:48

I want her to get the right combination of clever/elegant/independent minded. And I think she needs to veer well clear of sexy/party to do that. So not too much cling/fit, and no Christmas tree dangles!

ruddynorah · 03/05/2010 17:50

show us your examples then bonsoir..

Pennies · 03/05/2010 17:53

Mmmmm Issa with a statement necklace and some uber stonking nude shoes but quite unfussy.

Pennies · 03/05/2010 17:55

altho it is blue which might betray a preference.

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:55

Beautiful dress and shoes (I used to have some gorgeous Louboutin shoes in that same shade) but don't you think they might look a bit dull on TV? The finer details get lost on TV just as much as too much pattern/decoration gets dazzling.

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 18:02

Chloé blouse

Chloé stirrup pants

Elegant, feminine and very, very comfortable...

NormaSknockers · 03/05/2010 18:05

...and ugly

ruddynorah · 03/05/2010 18:06

good grief bonsoir no! the blouse ok maybe, and yes a nod to the 'nude' trend. but the ski pants no no no. they look like m&s classic collection. the zipped pockets are just awful.

try again

traceybath · 03/05/2010 18:07

Do love the blouse though - fits perfectly with my governess-thang

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 18:10

Blouse for traceybath - I tried this on and it's lovely (but I ended up getting another style in the same fabric).

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 18:10

like the blouse
dont hitnk tis very suitable for Uk tv though - too fussy

OP posts:
traceybath · 03/05/2010 18:11

Oh that is lovely Bonsoir.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/05/2010 18:13

I like both blouses, but possibly coming across as quite frumpy a la TB's governess thang unless worn with funky jeans/trews, perhaps not in keeping with the occasion.

ninja · 03/05/2010 18:17

Can't you just find her a T-shirt that says 'Mum's do it online!'

No?? Ok I'll go away ....

ruddynorah · 03/05/2010 19:11

that's it yes. stick her in that for telly! folk will think oh god there's one of them mumsnet weirdos

no course not. she will look fab whatever. wrap dress or cowl neck dress. oooh the pressure eh justine?!

MailaNurmi · 03/05/2010 19:27

Bonsoir - nice choices.
Been into Cos today and they have some very similar draped dresses for less (not quite same quality as Marni but v.good).

wahwah · 03/05/2010 19:45

Marni shoes gorgeous and I get what Bonsoir is saying about less being more. I like this game, it's like paper dolls. I might be less keen If I were the subject!

CrankyTwanky · 03/05/2010 19:45

"i think she should wear a donkey jacket and a clenched fist"
