Oh those rules about dresses that need to fit your shape, I've decided they are soooo early 2000

She is very slim, isn't she? She'd probably look good also in a Marni dress, imho. (Is she tall?)

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 16:55

Trinny and Susannah and their rules lack gravitas - they are fine when looking for guidelines for dressing for Ascot , but quite wrong for a serious TV commentator on election night.

I think she's a similar shape and height to me... from memory of video images...

EricPicklesFatNeck · 03/05/2010 16:55

marni dress is horrid. (in fact marni generally is horrid)

EricPicklesFatNeck · 03/05/2010 16:56

i think she should wear a donkey jacket and a clenched fist

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 16:56

she is slim. she needs PLAIN if sitting on a sofa all night, not loads of stuff ot get in way, id have thought.
a dress that fits your body is no bad thing shurely?

white Quite like this

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:00

You don't want to wear a lot of accessories on TV (you quickly look like a Christmas tree), hence you need to wear a dress with a bit of detail or else you will look boring.

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 17:00

nah - pattern would go all woo owoo wooo on tv screen

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:01

traceybath - you cannot wear a print like that on TV - it just doesn't work.

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 17:01

hmm
anyway
jsutine showing Lack Of Interest

OP posts:
traceybath · 03/05/2010 17:01

True - I still like Su's first link.

Marni just a bit shapeless really - very Alex Shulman.

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:02

Alex Shulman is fat and wears floaty to disguise it. Justine is bony so Marni will hang off her shoulder and look fab!

Francagoestohollywood · 03/05/2010 17:04

How can she not be interested !

traceybath · 03/05/2010 17:04

Su will like this and Bonsoir won't

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:07

It's a lovely dress, tracey - it just needs a lot of dressing up and that isn't the right look for the occasion IMVHO.

Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 17:08

Of course she's interested - she's just being discreet and not commenting!

cyb · 03/05/2010 17:09

one of my party guests wore a purple cowl neck Vivienne Westwood jersey slinky dress, longer than that grey one but very cool

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/05/2010 17:10

Haven't trawled through the thread, but what about that LK Bennett one that the biffers liked?

MmeLindt · 03/05/2010 17:10

The Helmut Lang one was the best, imo, but a bit short. We don't want Justine to be tugging her hemline all evening.

traceybath · 03/05/2010 17:14

I bet she's already seen a discreet stylist and has the perfect outfit ready to go.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/05/2010 17:19

look, here this one. It'll be hot under those lights, she won't want sweaty pits so it should be sleeveless.

With a chunky long necklace

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 17:22

link doesnt work

OP posts:
Themasterandmargaritas · 03/05/2010 17:28

MmeLindt · 03/05/2010 17:33
