It does look more blue than purple but it's still very lovely.

BudaisintheZONE · 07/05/2010 06:12

Agree it looks a bit more blue but that could just be the camera. It is lovely. Really suits you Justine.

Justine you look fab. So how did it go? Did you spout words of wisdom?

LIZS · 07/05/2010 08:31

wow looks great ! (and whose house is that ) Any chance of a playback of her piece on ITVplayer ?

MmeLindtChocBrownies · 07/05/2010 10:00

Was she on then? I was up almost all night and still missed her. How did that happen?

VerityBrulee · 07/05/2010 10:07

She looks fabulous

BythewayItsStillMe · 07/05/2010 10:12

Oh I'm glad it wasn't just me MmeL, I didn't see her either, watched til 1.40 then I had to go to bed.

Was Justine on??

Themasterandmargaritas · 07/05/2010 10:15

MmeL do you get ITV in La Suisse?

SoupDragon · 07/05/2010 10:15

Will you be launching a range of those old fashioned dress-up-dolls where you put paper cloths on them? You could have one for each member of MNHQ

MmeLindtChocBrownies · 07/05/2010 10:18

TheMaster
Yes, we have a sat dish and get all the freeview channels. Can even chose between the different ITV channels.

Themasterandmargaritas · 07/05/2010 10:25

Cool. Technology nowadays

We are stuck with BBC Prime and endless reruns of Mr Bean. And Top Gear. Feel for me.

Forget the range of dolls, can we all now have a hefty discount on the VW dress?

Here's an idea - why not auction off THE DRESS to raise money for my teeny tiny mental health charity here in Kenya? Sort of a la princess Di?

BythewayItsStillMe · 07/05/2010 10:30

TheMaster, now there's an idea....

Themasterandmargaritas · 07/05/2010 10:41

Well that was a bit of a washout. They kept telling me I was about to be on - next 30 mins - but as it got more hung parliamenty there were more and more politicos rolled out and could feel the moment to show off me frock was ebbing away. Stayed till 3am and then slunk away.

But before that I froze outside for a bit - thankfully I had the lovely Kathy Lette and her perfectly-formed teenage daughter for company, and Oona King who seemed jolly if a bit distracted by having to be a political expert and therefore concentrate on all the swinging. Told Alistair Campbell that his wife was splendid. He agreed with me, thankfully for him. Got slightly blanked by Jon Snow who seemed v underwhelmed by Mumsnet - or he may just not have heard my introduction. Had slightly wierdy awkward moment with Geoff Hoon when neither of us knew what to say to eachother. Decided Kirstie Allsopp is OliviaMumsnet's double. Met a lovely GP married to head of Comres who said her sister was in my class at school and embarrassingly had no recollection of said sister .

So there you go, twas all for nowt. Fingers crossed there'll be a next time to show off my flipping expensive lovely new scoop dress.

squeaver · 07/05/2010 16:40

Oh nooooooo!!

Poor Justine. Poor dress.

Poledra · 07/05/2010 16:45

Justine, I stayed up till 2.30am waiting for you - but then it wasn't akchewally the purple dress, from Olivia's photos, it was blue, wasn't it?

Sorry you froze - at least I was indoors with a nice bottle of red (and a miserable DH but he went off to bed, thank god).

JustineMumsnetElection · 07/05/2010 16:45

Oh just seen TheMasters idea to auction the dress - well yes of course - genius. But can I wear it on telly once first (promise to get it dry cleaned)?

MmeLindtChocBrownies · 07/05/2010 16:55

Justine
I stayed up until 4am (local time) waiting for your moment of glory. How annoying.

Still could have been worse, you could have been on the Love Boat with Brucie and Joan Collins.
