What to Wear in this Weather?

MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 12:51

just returned from a very lovely hot holiday where I've been wearing very little but now have no idea what to wear out there ... the jeans and long sleeve t I'm currently in seem so wrong and I'm sure - despite a flash of sun - it's too cold yet for a skirt?

what does everyone else wear for inbetween weather like this?

i am layering

thin, long line cardigans over short sleeve tops etc

leggings, skinny jeans for me

plus Uggs (hard habit to break for me) or flats

traceybath · 06/04/2010 12:56

Its still freezing here so am still in skinnies and boots. Have scaled down to a jacket though rather than coat.

Keep wistfully stroking all my summer stuff.

cyb · 06/04/2010 12:57

my winter stuff all looks worn and shabby now. But will def not be getting summer stuff out just yet. Altho I did just eat lunch on the lawn in the sunshine wearng only a thin cardi and teeshirt (and jeans)

Twas lovely

MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 12:59

I've just opened the window and it's definatley still chilly but think I might be able to dispense with the big black wolly coat I've been wearing all winter ... Oooo how liberating!

Leggings,tunic/dress and cardigan here, have braved ballet flats instead of boots.
Also slim fit jeans, tee, open cardigan, ballet flats again or converse.
Have relegated big coats to wardrobe whereI keep 'out of season' stuff now

tethersend · 06/04/2010 16:44

Patterned dress, opaques and mid-heels (court shoes in fact) with a leather jacket.

AnyFucker · 06/04/2010 16:48

still layering here

have purple woolly tights, grey River Island pretendy-Ugg boots, grey skirt

navy vest, purple boyfriend cardi and purple/navy/grey/black scarf

am a bit too hot actually

tethersend · 06/04/2010 16:52

Take your scarf off AF

MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 17:38

and the uggs AF - they really do hold in the heat

Now we sound sleazy.

NorkilyChallenged · 06/04/2010 17:50

heh heh

Am really struggling. Have no in-between coat, just a big warm thing (that I hate) or nothing. What are you all wearing as in-between coat/jacket while it's still cool but spring-like?

I want links people, I need pictures as I have no imagination

SixtyFootDoll · 06/04/2010 17:55

I hate this time of year
My winter clothes are tired looking but too cold to put summer stuff on.

tethersend · 06/04/2010 18:19

Leather jacket like this, Norkily.

tethersend · 06/04/2010 18:21

But not as eye-wateringly expensive

insprognito · 06/04/2010 18:28

I know what you mean .Seems layering is the only option as it's freezing outside then you get too hot once inside .
I seem to be living in black leggings /jeans and boots at the mo ,very imaginative.
Also wearing quite thin long sleeved stretchy type tops under any summer or sleeveless/tank type top.
Don't think it's too cold for dresses if they are worn with thick tights/boots.I like this option best as it requires the least thought regarding co ordination of top and bottom.
Wallis had a nice long sleeved red one Emma Bunton was wearing in a magazine last week.Think wrap dresses look nice too if they suit your figure.

MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 18:41

lol tethersend

yeah! geddem orf AF

OP posts:
MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 18:45

I did wear wrap dress with leggings and cardi yesterday ... had it have been warmer in dp's sister's flat yesterday I could have taken off cardi and even leggings ... stuck on jacket option too though, summer ones are too drafty ...Oooh, I know, trench! will dig mine out

AnyFucker · 06/04/2010 18:58

MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 19:00

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 06/04/2010 19:02

< ahem >

I am getting a bit scared now....

< legs it >

tethersend · 06/04/2010 19:02

Go on, AF... slip into something more comfortable

AnyFucker · 06/04/2010 19:03

oh, yes...that's more my style

can I wear it for the school run ?

tethersend · 06/04/2010 19:07

As long as you don't get out of the car.

MissWooWoo · 06/04/2010 19:07
