If money were no object, what shampoo/conditioner/hair care would you use?

I have been through most the supermarket ones and apart from tres semme and aussie everything is just abit meh. I end up chucking the last inch of so away (f not more being impatient to try something new so I thought I may aswell just buy a really good shampoo etc. My hair is very very straight and fine, non coloured and I am starting to use more heat products than I used to (only dryer mainly - sometimes curling tongs) but it's all split ends, wispy, fly away and just gengerally abit crap. Not having it cut in 16 months didn't help but now I have I want to keep ontop of it. Sooo... what brands are worth the money? It's all totally new to me - I remember the brands Redkin/Redken (?), phyto (?), some loreal fun ball stuff... anyone have any advice? Thanks

I'm squeezing the last drops out of my bottle of Tigi self absorbed contitioner at the moment. That has been really nice. I got it in TJ Huges a bit cheaper but they haven't got any more in mine now.

I have tried lots and lots of shampoos and conditioners. I still think the best one is one of the cheapest ones - Sunsilk.

Aveda

Aveda or Modern Organics.

Somebody recommended Nizorelle to me, for a sore scalp and it is brilliant. So I will stick with that! If ever I'm rich, I'd quite like to try Aveda though.

Oo, I think I tried Tigi a good while ago (7 odd years), I forgot about that. I see Aveda mentioned alot on here now I think about it - I will google it. THanks

Best one I ever used was La Prairie. I didn'tneed to use product afterwards, so lovely was my hair.

I adore Kertase products. They actually work on my thick wavy hair and even make it look glossy.

If feeling a financial pinch I use Body Shop's hair stuff. Not as good but pretty great.

I have never found a product on the supermarket shelves that likes my hair. I used have a bathroom cupboard with hair products hardly used.

I have poker straight long hair, not coloured, fine but lots of it. I like Aveda. Do you live near a Space NK? they stock lots of (luxury) brands. I asked for help & the thickening shampoo they sold me was fantastic. I can't tell you the name as dp chucked the bottle out thinking it wS empty. They were great though & nice to feel like you're getting something special. Willtrawl net later & see if I can find name. .

I have been through loads of the more pricey shampoo and conditioners and always ended up back with Loreal Serie Expert. I love it and it makes my hair look and feel lovely.

Lots of people tell me how shiney my hair always look and I swear its only the shampoo that I use that does it!

get to Sainsburys this week - all shampoos are half price so you can try out loads!

(I like herbal essences, so there's probably no hope for me...)

Also, Neal's Yard orange flower shampoo and conditioner are gorgeous and don't have the silicones/sulphates so no build-up.

Kerastase for me as well...love it (got fine, dry hair)

John Frieda volume for blonde hair (shampoo and conditioner) works really well for me.

I think Green Peoples shampoo's are the best ever esp the Vitamin Shampoo! This is what my hair would choose to use! (however I wasn't so keen on their conditioners)

Try A'kin. It's a new Australian brand I've discovered. It's very natural and eco-friendly, smells gorgeous and leaves my hair really soft.

Kerastase and Klorane are my favourites. Also like Redken treatments-good anti-frizz products.

I've got very fine, straight, limp hair. I hate it. But, I like it the most when I use a build up remover shampoo once a week (currently using the Toni & Guy one from Boots) followed by TIGI Oatmilk and Honey deep conditioning treatment. The conditioner is fab, it gives my hair body. A hairdresser once recommended it to me and I was sceptical as I thought it would just make my hair heavy, but it doesn't. Expensive though. Hence the once a week or special occasion usage only!

Hehe, agree with KatieKitty - have become much too reliant on Batiste of late!

My hairdresser recommended the Indola Innova Glamour range which smells salon divine but is alas rather pricey - I think about a tenner a bottle for the Illuming Hair Bath (aka shampoo!). The Crystal Hair Mask (conditioner) is fab too for nourishing to the core of the hair shaft - great for maintaining colour and repairing damage.

Unfortunately finances no longer allow, so I'm onto whatever's on offer in Boots!

Aveda

Tigi Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey Shampoo & condit is my fave, smells delish but budget only allows whatever is 2 for 1 on Boots at the mo!

I have to say though Aussie actually is surprisingly very good.

I avoided it for ages. It doesn't look that special after all

Other than that, I like the other one I already use which is Milkshake It's good but no better than the Aussie. The reason I keep buying it is because it smells so delicious.

I economise on the shampoo .. usually use a neutrogena one from Boots and then save my pennies for conditioner.. I discovered Terax about six years ago, and have never found anything as easy to use ( quick I mean ) and works like a charm.. I have fine hair too, and although its pricey .its does last for several months ..
