I have only ever ordered a scarf online so don't know why I am one of the 'chosen'!! Just done another order for my mum - she got the fairisle cardy and the collared cardy.

Hopefully · 11/01/2010 15:39

I don't even want to go into how much I've just spent. Have ordered a couple of tops each for me and DS and will only keep the nicest one each. Nothing for DP as he looks like a tit in fine knits, and there's no nice chunky knits.

No long stripy wristwarmers though . Was hoping there might be some in clearance from a million years ago.

BigBadMummy · 11/01/2010 15:40

Oh God... I have been craving after theh wrist warmers for weeks.

Seems I have no excuses to keep putting it off now.

Which colour to go for ladies?

BigBadMummy · 11/01/2010 15:41

ahhhh just gone to buy them and the website is down.

Which one of you killed it?

MarshaBrady · 11/01/2010 15:48

How annoying, knowing a sale is on but not able to access it! Damn you Brora!

Not that I am meant to spend anything anyway. Just need to look, got sale sweats.

traceybath · 11/01/2010 16:23

Oh thanks Dorothea.

Right will be purchasing wristwarmers and cardigan with the other plebs on wednesday

bellissima · 12/01/2010 11:21

Just got in to sale on a special day early 'preview' (and spend). Gloves, socks, hats and thermals.

Cue end of freeze!

bellissima · 12/01/2010 11:24

Oops - see I was not impt enough to get two days early! Clearly don't spend enough. I wanted that mega-thick six ply collared cardi but I can't afford it and I just know that if I bought it we would never have another day's snow EVER.

traceybath · 12/01/2010 11:57

I phoned them up this morning and very nice lady said only their best customers got the preview.

For the rest of us it goes live at midnight tonight.

Was the cashmere dress very reduced? Doesn't sound as though there were massive reductions . . .

dexter73 · 12/01/2010 12:02

That is such bollocks! I have bought one scarf from them online and I got the early preview. I also always get a Next preview and I hardly buy anything from them. Maybe next year they will realise and strike me off their lists!
Cashmere jumper dress is £179 from £239 but only size 8 and 10 left.

Am size 8 but thats still too much money - thank you for looking though .

I think I will get the wrist warmers and maybe a cropped cardigan.

And then I'm buying nothing else for quite a while.

DorotheaPlenticlew · 12/01/2010 18:56

of being a size 8

My mum is an 8 and therefore always gets lovely sale stuff. I sometimes get clearance items for the opposite reason but they don't tend to be quite as nice ...

aarghhelp · 12/01/2010 19:23

Ooh can't afford sale, might try further reductions again like last year

darcymum · 12/01/2010 19:29

I got my sale catalogue this morning in the post.

florenceuk · 13/01/2010 13:41

Finally got on this morning - bought wrap scarf and wristwarmers (the green moss stitch ones) and dithered over a gauzy cowl neck tunic but was just too much and now all sold out in a 10 - tell me it's overpriced etc etc.

aquavit · 13/01/2010 14:27

florence it is DEFINITELY overpriced, think of what else you can get with the money you have saved

flipping site is now down because of all the traffic...but my local shop had the mohair cowl neck in my size, so am all snuggly warm now

florenceuk · 13/01/2010 14:42

Mohair cowl jumper much more reasonable but I have found (to my cost) that mohair and angora make me itch (a Kew cardigan for example...). Hence lusting over lovely cowl neck tunic. Do you reckon the medium in this would be too big: cashmere cowlneck

pagwatch · 13/01/2010 16:23

ooooooooohhh!
I went to my local branch this am.

Got two thermals for me, one for DD. Wristwarmers and scarf in arctic too.

I am not sure how I managed without my wristwarmers in thebig fat freezing house - they are fab and soooo soft.

Going back at the end of the week. Or maybe order more on-line. The thermal are so lovely I think I will get a couple more...!

dexter73 · 13/01/2010 17:14

I have ordered these bags to keep the pesky moths at bay.

DorotheaPlenticlew · 13/01/2010 19:05

Those of you who wear wristwarmers ... how frequently do you wash 'em? Just curious.

dexter73 · 13/01/2010 19:18

Do they need washing?!

DorotheaPlenticlew · 13/01/2010 19:30

I dunno ... yeah I think maybe they do, at least if you wear them all around the place like I do. I wear them on the bus and stuff, then sometimes around the house as well, so I feel that they are probably carrying bus germs home etc ... have not been super-anal but have washed a few times. Just wondered what everyone else thinks, not meaning to make you paranoid

dexter73 · 13/01/2010 19:43

I only wear mine out as gloves but have had them for over a year and not washed them yet! Maybe I will do them next time I do a handwash...

traceybath · 13/01/2010 21:11

I ordered a cropped cardigan, wrist warmers and a thermal for myself and dd.

I'm also hankering after this in raspberry.
