wilfulwife · 07/07/2005 17:27

Has anyone here tried Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish?(yes,as seen on QVC)I've never got on using cleanser and water, always seems to dry out my sensitive skin whilst giving me blackheads(I sound awful don'tI?).Tried that Eve Lom business to no avail, but Liz reckons her product is the business,so any reveiws?

Put in Liz Earle and search - lots of people swear by it.

spykid · 07/07/2005 19:23

wilful wife, I have used all her products, and yes I have tried them all! For years now. I can really tell how good the cleanse and polish is when I run out and use something else...then I can see just how good it is!
Would deffo reccomend it

wilfulwife · 07/07/2005 23:12

ooh,I'm definately going to give it a try, think i'll get the cleanse and polish and tonic thing, can't afford moisturiser at the mo.Thanks Spy kid for your opinion,do you think i'm making the right choice?God,poor dh who has just trudged 4 hrs to get home from central London tonight would be so impressed to know i'm getting my skincare routine sorted out.(not!)

spykid · 08/07/2005 09:47

I have seen such a difference from using it, and it removes even waterproof mascara.
dh pinches it, and have even used it to remove face paint froms ds's.
The instant boost skin tonic is lush, smells gorgeous and really refreshes. IMO you get a better deal buying theses 2 with the moisturiser...it lasts ages and the 3 together make your skin feel lovely.

Just seen this and its very timely. Can I ask for MN help. Haven't worn any makeup since my wedding (nearly 8 years ago!!) so need help from all you glamour pusses out there. Can I just get away with some moisturising foundation (is there such a thing) because realistically am not going to have time for much more plus cleanser for scraping (!) it off afterwards? What brand would you recommend? I'm Spanish so have olive skin, dark brown hair and eyes so don't want any of the English Rose cosmetics I've had in the past please! Any suggestions gratefully received.

NomDePlume · 08/07/2005 21:07

Geranium, TINTED MOISTURISER is what you want. No idea as to brands to suit your skin type, though...

Gillian76 · 08/07/2005 22:49

I love Clarins tinted moisturiser. It gives you a healthy glow without looking "made up". Use it for every day and the Hydra Matte Foundation for going out.

If you know what you want, ie. have tried it out and know which colour suits, etc. Ebay is sometimes good for a bargan

Abou 20 years ago, Lancome did a fabulous mascara - the want didn't have bristles, it looked more like a long screw iyswim, was sooo fed up when they discontinued it.

hehe

I remember some stuff called "ultra glow" being launched - the woman promoting it looked radioactive.

puff · 22/08/2005 12:47

didn't help that she had red hair
