MAC Lip Glass. The best. I love 'Lush' - a lovely neutral. Also Bobby Brown's 'Brown Sugar'.

'Traffic' is good for nights out, Pruni. Has that extra sparkle. But Lush is brill for work.

Agree about the intelligent foundation - speaking as someone who went through about five years of absolutely no makeup.

Anyone tried the new Clarins sheer summer lippy - like lip balm/gloss? Am v tempted...

expatinscotland · 27/06/2005 22:32

Laura Mercier foundation or tinted moisturiser is all I'll ever use. Aside from Bobby Brown or Prescriptives, which custom blends for you.

Guerlain's Meteorites powder will also always have a place on my dressing table.

did HM come back ever?

MI I have the clarins lip balm in 05 (doesn't have a name I think) and it's fabulous, not sticky, pretty colour, reasonably long lasting for a lip balm, I love it.

katierocket · 28/06/2005 14:47

have bought lancome mascara; will report back when I've used it.

fishfinger · 28/06/2005 17:37

beansontoast · 28/06/2005 18:34

hunkermunker..do not fear,i have recently re- landed on planet cosmetic, having been orbiting planet 'make up aint gonna help' i digress....

i went for 'arabian glow' [what bronzer was called in the eighties...cant shake the habit, like a true oldie]
plus tinted gloss/full on gloss, mascara plus lashings of that moon beam stuff pruni is so fond of...et voila.
bit of oomph, without being too much of a departure from the natural look of the last 18 mnths
lecture over

i just stocked up on a few things...

that new clinique lip gloss. soooo disappointing! that nasty plastic applicator is rubbish, give me a sponge thingy any day! and it shrivels the lips despite being so blimmin expensive!

benefit georgia peach translucent powder in pale pink - love it. but with the sun have gone back to chanel bronzer for the moment.

tried the boots sheer foundation that everyone raves about. couldn't bear it - went shiny and claggy in about five mins. went back to my old favourite chanel powder/foundation combined - much better.

bought the ooh-la-lift eye thing and make up base from benefit. not too impressed with ooh-la-lift - but then the bags under my eyes are now so bad that even touche eclat is not hiding them any more! love the make up base though.

new clinique mascara - really good, curls without thickening - really pleased with it.

really keen to get some highlighter stuff so maybe will try the benefit moonbeam.

VladimirIlyichUlyanov · 29/06/2005 18:01

oh no love the applicator of the clinique one

Can anyone recoend a product to get my skin back into semi decent condition. You could sand wood with my face at the moment as I have been neglecting my skin for too long now

fishfinger · 07/07/2005 16:30
