Mine not pink - just very very shiny

Agree on Lancome mascara though. Have a few different ones, like them all.

I like Lancome eyeshadows, also dior ones.

Will get a sample of Coddy's foundation and a sample of KRs one - then try them out this time before purchasing

Now what about a nice lippy (not lipgloss) to go with light tan. Perhaps a corally colour????

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 19:56

ill win kr so watch it

boots no7 intellegent foundation is magic in a tube - very light, never streaks, never looks like makeup, but makes a big difference.

hunkermunker · 27/06/2005 19:58

OK, will have to revise budget. Have never had expensive make-up before - except once, had beauty flash balm when I got married and thought that was pricey! Am skint and unchic

Also off to feed DS, so will chat later re my lamentable make-up bag (need a new one of those too really - any suggestions?!)

have never used foundation
my life might change!
love mac powder though

soapbox · 27/06/2005 20:02

I think I might try the Decleor shine control gel.

I'm just not sure how credible I am at work when my make up is constantly sliding off my face.

Did a video conference today and I could hardly concentrate on what I was saying, I was just fixated on the light rebounding off my slippery looking mug

Hunker - Barbara Daly at Tescos is supposed to be the best budget range.

As Pruni says getting samples from the makeup counters is a good start!

Tinker · 27/06/2005 20:08

Yes, Tesco's Guava lipstick is current fave

do report back soapbox, I am fully confident that I will win over fishhead. LOL at the slippy face image!
Tesco range is ok, some of the eyeshadows are ok anyway. Actually that's a good question, is it just me or does eyeshadow only stay on your eyelids for about half an hour?

will try lancome mascara, any particular one?

Tinker · 27/06/2005 20:18

kr - I layer my eyeshadow up. Seems to stay on. And like that Bourjois stuff in little pots with a brush, for over the top

Tinker · 27/06/2005 20:19

But you have to put foundation and powder on first

katierocket · 27/06/2005 20:21

ah, that's probably why then. I just worry about looking like one of those old ladies with creasy faces and inches of slap.

Tinker · 27/06/2005 20:22

I probably do.

katierocket · 27/06/2005 20:23

no I'm sure you don't tinker. It is after all possible to get the super model look too, just don't think I'm very good at putting on make up.

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 22:20

pruni isnt your shirvelling an issue

kr back off!!
