We're starting work on MNTV which is a whole letter better than MTV .

So, we're looking for volunteers who're up for being filmed.
Specifically we're looking for:-
*MNers who want some help with their style (whether it's the search for the perfect jeans school-run dress or a new wardrobe after a baby?)
*MNers who want to help others with their style (and give Nicky Hambleton Jones a rest )

We're also looking for MNers who're willing to give the now famous MN DIY haircut a go on camera - and their family's reaction to them doing it.

Please post here and let us know that you're up for it.

Thanks
Mumsnet DarkTowers

Me me me me me me!!!! I am desperate for a style makeover. Recently lost a lot of weight post-last baby and really want to start looking more glam than I have done last few years.

Not willing to do MN haircut, though, and no way am I qualified to give style advice

Fabster · 28/10/2009 18:50

I would love help in the clothes department.

kando · 28/10/2009 18:52

Would def be up for some help with my "style" (or lack thereof)!

Louby3000 · 28/10/2009 18:53

Oh yes please! I USED to feel like I always looked put together young and trendy but since my very emergency c-section and now living the mummy dream in babyland I feel like a dowdy blob.
My hair is too short for the MN haircut. Poop.

Whimsy · 28/10/2009 18:58

I would love a mumsnetter or anyone to give me some style advice! I have no idea what suits my shape and would love to look stylish, even just for the day

flier · 28/10/2009 19:00

I'd posted on another thread where MNHQ were lookign for ideas. Therefore as a makeover was my idea I would love to have a style update, for everyday/school run clothes - I always seem to end up wearing jeans (which never seem to flatter anyway).
I'm 37 and seem lost in fashionable shops these days, I just never know what I should be wearing or how to dress for my age and body shape.
so please pick me

stakethroughtheheartofgold · 28/10/2009 19:01

hahaha am more than happy to offer style advice but only under condition that no-one ever sees me

southeastastra · 28/10/2009 19:01

I could do with style advice

As long as you can guarentee that I won't have my norks squeezed T&S stylee by somebody fishy in their current incarnation

LouIsAWeetbixKid · 28/10/2009 19:05

Oh god me please. I've gone from a size 22/24 to a at the moment 18 and my body has changed from when I was a young slim 21 year old. Im 30 in 3 months. I have no idea how to dress myself. I dress too old for my age and I have not had a hair style since about 1996 and even then it wasn't a style I think . People can throw comments, insults whatever at me as long as it helps and I feel good not frumoy in the end.

cailinalainn · 28/10/2009 19:29

Yes please. I have no idea how to dress anymore - not good for a busy working mum.

Need all the help I can get!

shandyleer · 28/10/2009 19:34

Oh yes please, I need help in every department! I've been wearing the same style of make up for thirty odd years now, I'm sure there must be something else I can do that would look ok! And I too feel as if I've lost all ideas of how to dress, I always feel so bleurgh.

Mamazonabroomstick · 28/10/2009 19:37

I did the MN haircut.

I have pics somewhere of before and after.

I have since done it to my sister as well. ALLLLL her friends have told her how fab her haircut is, she lied and said she had it done at a top salon

feetheart · 28/10/2009 19:50

Me, me, me!

I need a makeover/help with what to wear as I will definitely be the oldest Mum at the school gates when DS starts Reception in September and I don't want to look it.

Add height and big feet and I will be a challenge to anyone

Mamazonabroomstick · 28/10/2009 19:53

feet - thats why im not volunteering. it'd not be fair. At 6'1, size 24 and size 9/10 feet i have enough trouble finding clothes that fit let alone look good!

feetheart · 28/10/2009 19:56

I'm hoping they want a challenge

fedupofthis · 28/10/2009 20:12

I need a makeover!

I'm 23, 2 DC, lots of jeans and haven't a clue what to wear to hide my jelly belly.

Make me look trendy please.

Stylelostinlabour · 28/10/2009 20:14

me,me,me and me!

I dont just need help and need lots of help - jeans, can never find the perfect pair, hair, makeup, shoes the whole lot!

I'd be a good challenge for anyone

MUMOFDrJekyllandmrhyde · 28/10/2009 20:16

I am up for THE LOT

I am a long haired frump since my kids and could do with a top to toe revamp

I dont even die my long hair

sooooooooooooooo piiiiiiiiiiiiick plain old mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmme

please

MUMOFDrJekyllandmrhyde · 28/10/2009 20:16

nor do I wear make up and if you asked any of my real life friends they would soooooooooooooooooo say for goodness sake do us all a favour and pick her would you

ErikaMaye · 28/10/2009 20:17

I'm due in two and a half weeks with my first and have NO idea what I'm going to wear for feeding, or generally post-birth. I'm short, but slim with wide hips, so jeans are a nightmare. Large boobs with a narrow back.

Please just help me have some clothes!!

PS: Maybe we could also do a "Shopping to look nice but on a budget" kinda thing too?

CybilAviationAuthority · 28/10/2009 20:17

I'd love to offer my Style and Beauty expertise

arf

tulpe · 28/10/2009 20:20

I need a jeans makeover.

Perfect jeans are the holy grail missing from my wardrobe

Oh and if somebody could find me the most perfect knitwear ever that would be great too

Am also not too shoddy in the advice department either as I love to shop and love clothes

Please pick me

JackBauWooohooohoowaaer · 28/10/2009 20:22

I would do the MN haircut, but I have already done it too many times.
So in that case you should make it up to me by making me over
