We're starting work on MNTV which is a whole letter better than MTV .

So, we're looking for volunteers who're up for being filmed.
Specifically we're looking for:-
*MNers who want some help with their style (whether it's the search for the perfect jeans school-run dress or a new wardrobe after a baby?)
*MNers who want to help others with their style (and give Nicky Hambleton Jones a rest )

We're also looking for MNers who're willing to give the now famous MN DIY haircut a go on camera - and their family's reaction to them doing it.

Please post here and let us know that you're up for it.

Thanks
Mumsnet DarkTowers

squeaver, lol. Can I have trinny's line free face and Susannahs knockers

CybilAviationAuthority · 29/10/2009 13:08

corny can't believe you need help with anything you are a doyenne of the style threads

Adair · 29/10/2009 13:15

Hmm... don't flame me but I need a makeover cos IMO I should look so much better than I do. Am size 8-10, young (sleep-deprived) 30 year old, bit of a jelly belly and boobs not what they were but not so bad! Why am I such a frump?!

I think I need someone to be brutal with my wardrobe- am one of those people who picks the item to wear that makes me feel crap, out of habit (why is it even IN my wardrobe?)

(have good hair, not the MN cut anymore though )

Ewe · 29/10/2009 13:16

Oooh can I be Susannah? I have breasts and like wrap tops

Adair · 29/10/2009 13:17

Oh oh, and bras - def (though as am teacher, maybe not great to have boobs out on telly).

Eyebrows! Mine are weird.

kingbeat23 · 29/10/2009 13:24

meeeeeeee!! i would love to get out of a rut and into some fab stylish clothes, not sure about the hair though...

KristinaM · 29/10/2009 14:56

oh yes i agree, jewels and gems is great with suggestions for curvy ladies

Crazycatlady · 29/10/2009 16:04

Oh this has come at just the right time! I so DESPERATELY need makeover help...

I went clothes shopping to the West End today and came home feeling utterly deflated and empty handed. Having not bought anything for almost two years (pregnancy, new baby, BFing etc...) I realised I'm suddenly completely out of touch with style. I felt lost.

Having just turned 30 too my style confidence has taken a real bashing. I have lumps where there used to be none, and I don't know what to do with them.

My hair is a constant source of angst. After years of blonde highlights I went brunette post birth to try a new look, and still not happy. And i have been wearing the same shades of make up for 5 years now.

I'm stuck in a jeans and converse wilderness. I used to feel pretty and now I feel like a tired old walrus. Help!

MustNotEatCake · 29/10/2009 16:12

aw, thanks for the vote of T&S confidence, squeaver

I do love to dish out style advice and I've been told i'm alright at it.

And I refer to 'pieces' in the fashionable singular

TheTerribleSpider · 29/10/2009 16:23

me please (small voice) Not haircut though, it's bad enough without me butchering it more.

EccentricaGallumbats · 29/10/2009 16:27

Is surgery on offer?

I'd like a gastric band, full tummy tuck and face lift please. I'd be willing to show the world before and aftr photos and even to film live during surgry.

I'd also like to try some hair removal thing.

cornsilk · 29/10/2009 16:34

Cybil I can be stylish when I try but at heart I am a lazy slattern.

SparkyfartDust · 29/10/2009 17:23

oh, I would love to volunteer. I'd be perfect.

I've got horrible hair, shit clothes and saggy knockers- I'm the whole package.

Feelingforty · 29/10/2009 18:10

Me.

fairly slim with a wobbly flat bottom - almost impossible to dress

Needs to be warm & stylish.

ilove · 29/10/2009 18:15

Me, please.

Amandoh · 29/10/2009 22:39

If you're ever in need of a botox/restylane/surgical peel/mini-facelift guinea pig makeover recipient I'm your girl!

tigerbear · 29/10/2009 22:47

Ooooh, this sounds interesting.
I would DEFINITELY be interested in helping MNers with makeovers (if you'll have me!).

I used to work as a fashion writer on the make over pages of a local newspaper, and have experience working in the fashion industry.

I can do makeup, and I love helping people find great clothes for the cheapest prices - I'm the bargain queen.

Let me know what I have to do and when!
Can't wait!

tigerbear · 30/10/2009 15:10

Oh, I killed the thread
Let us know what's happening MNHQ - we're dying to find out what happens next (well, I am anyway!).

Spagblog · 30/10/2009 15:16

OH yes, me.
I've just lost 2 and a half stone and need a new wardrobe.
I have no idea how to accessorise and seem to have forgotten what styles suit me!

anneke1 · 02/11/2009 15:00

Oh God tell me I am not too late !!! It has to be me. I am so in need of a complete overhaul, turning forty next birthday and in desperate need of salvation from my current hair, clothes and makeup rut. Am up for anything and everything just bring it on.

Iklboo · 02/11/2009 15:03

I?m a shorty, forty, speccy and fat
What?s more of a makeover challenge than that?
Forget Trinny, Susannah and dear old Gok Wan
You?d have to get Dulux to do my fake spray tan
It?s not so much orange peel here on by butt
As much as the whole flippin? orchard I?ve got

My hair?s not quite mousey ? it?s more like dead rat
My skin?s like a spud on which an elephant?s sat
My figure, pear shaped? I wish it was so
It?s more Michelin Man Look I?ve got on the go
My wardrobe - Bag Lady Meets Nanny McPhee
If anyone needs make over help, well it?s me

I know you?re not miracle workers, no Derren Brown
But help me with a look I can wear around town
Some slap, a new ?do - we could start with that first
Then find me a new frock that hides all the worst
With lighting that?s clever and some poses quite strange
I could look like a half-decent lass for a change

AlaskaNebraska · 02/11/2009 17:17

tigerbear you wont make anyone wear that .,,thing,, on your profile will you?

BonfiresOfInsanity · 02/11/2009 17:18

cornsilkwearscorsets · 02/11/2009 17:18

carc · 03/11/2009 12:12

I'm a nail tech and would be happy to volunteer my services???
