They sent me these which I really don't like

As I was just typing this they called me back to say one of the last remaining pairs had been allocated to me. I've had to pay another £40 (no postage) and they should be on the way tomorrow.

I can take the other pair back to an Office Store or post.

I'd Ebay them instead if I could be arsed had time as I do have a £125 pair of boots for £40.

mammyto1 · 24/09/2009 15:57

Crapweasel I would have swapped you my mol ones with you but see you have already sorted everything

Crapweasel · 24/09/2009 16:07

Mammy, yes, I think it's sorted now, thanks.
I wouldn't dare cancel my order now that the poor call centre lady has been so helpful (and I only had to shout a bit!)

If you want two pairs of boots, you can have first refusal on the unwanted pair

brokenspacebar · 24/09/2009 16:30

I would be tempted to keep both pairs crapweasel, what a bargain, pity you don't like them. They are maybe a bit more dressy than the mol, but I like Fly wedges.

I think the customer service was pretty good when I phoned Office, I know not everyone had the same experience, but I found the woman really helpful and she phoned me back.

I think we need to start a " what clothes are you wearing with your new Fly boots" type thread!

Today I am a little bit too brown?

I have a pair of brown leggings (Zara) and a lovely jumper/tunic from H&M (only £9.99), with Purple t-shirt underneath, plus glittery colourful scarf

KingRolo · 24/09/2009 17:18

Oooh, I have just ordered some in size 7. Hope they come!

hairygodmother · 24/09/2009 18:08

Boo! In the time it's taken me to read and catch up with this thread, the boots have sold out. But for future ref (and will recheck the website I think), how big are the 7s? I'm really a 6.5 so would the 6 be too small? Or are they q generous on sizes? You all seem such experts so thought I'd ask ...

chattermouse · 24/09/2009 18:26

Hairy, go for the 7 i think. Always better a bit big than too small. Too small = blisters, too big = an insole or thick socks . I am a 6.5 and my 7's are fine.

On the weenend i wore mine with black tights and a short, black button fronted dress. Dp liked the look!

lucykate · 24/09/2009 19:24

think i'm going to have to get insoles for mine. have worn them once, and as they are a bit big, my foot is moving about in them and has rubbed on the heel. wore them on the school run, it was dull when i left the house, sun came out half way to school. picked the dc's up, got half way home and had to head back to school again as ds had left behind his junk model animal (it's a hippo. apparently ), so by the time we got home, still in the blazing sunshine i was sweating like a pig. have been sticking to flip flops since then.

Lilyloo · 24/09/2009 20:54

kingrolo that office are still letting people put orders in for them as i ordered size 7 last Thursday and they waited until today to tell me they weren't available!!

bubblerock · 24/09/2009 21:49

Same happened with me lilyloo, ordered mine from the orig post then they were cancelled, few days later the same size were re-advertised and people got them!! Glad some people did get them but shocking customer service by Office - they can take my 20% off code and shove it.. (need to hide these threads now lol - esp as my Ebay ones aren't here yet, hopefully I'll feel better when they arrive if my calves squeeze into them! )

Sadiesmum · 25/09/2009 12:49

I returned a pair of FLY shoes i got online to the shop yesterday (also £30 bargains, ordered 2 pairs as i wasnt sure which colour). I wore my lovely bargain boots from this theread (size 5 brown ones). Was chatting to the assistant about the bargains on the website and she was gobsmacked at my getting some for £40 as she doesnt even get them for that instore. She says they are last years lining but apart from that identical to this years.

As i left the shop i herad her telling her mate 'i wish id gone online for mine thats less than i pay with staff discount!!'

chattermouse · 25/09/2009 14:13

You should have told her to get herself onto mumsnet; it's where its at....!

lucykate · 28/09/2009 16:25

got some insoles for mine, much better fit now, although i have pinched the skin one one leg in the zip. bit of cosmic karma there i suppose for getting them so cheap!

still not told dh about them. have worn them twice in front of him, he's not even noticed!
