I got the brown ones last week, foot sizing is fine( I am a 6) but they are slim on the calf. I can wear them with tights of jeggings but couldn't wear them over my normal skinny jeans. I do however run a lot and have robust calves

leothelioness · 15/09/2009 12:18

yes how is the sizing on these I am usually a size 4 but will order a larger size if they usually come up small. Can anyone tell me how skinny the calves need to be to fit?? circumterence measurement would be even better.

norksinmywaistband · 15/09/2009 12:20

I have 3 pairs of Fly boots and love them all. FYI - the sizes come up big, but there is also inconsistency; I am usually a 4.5 in most shoes, sometimes a 5. But when I got the Fly Yule boots I ended up settling on a size 3 which was a bit tight at first but stretched - the 4 was massive. My Fly Midas boots, however, are a 4 and that is a perfect fit for me. So don't rely on your normal size is my advice.

Also, the calf size is not a problem - my calves are quite slim but I have friends with much heftier calves who have bought Fly boots with no problem.

Anyway at £40 you'd be a loon not to get them. The calves will stretch.

chattermouse · 15/09/2009 12:22

Yeah Ruby, boots tend to get bigger on calves usually the bigger the size. Measured calves and defo no more than 33.5cm at maximum. Hopefully will get skinnies under.

SoupDragon · 15/09/2009 12:23

Size wise I think they're fine - I'm a 7 and the 7s fit. I do have skinny feet and calves though.

Have ordered black to go with my brown ones

norksinmywaistband · 15/09/2009 12:24

Yes it is ruby - would you like another measurement, can do as I have the tape out

How do they feel on norks (thanks for measuring!)?

Couls you push a buggy in them uphill and walk around all day? Is the heel a heel, iykwim? Or do they feel like flats?

I really don't need anymore boots but have ordered them for dd who takes a 2.5 so a 3 may be good. She is tall so hope they won't be too long on her.

brokenspacebar · 15/09/2009 12:32

What I want to know is, would the 20% discount work with the order? I know it seems a bit cheeky.....

I don't need black boots, though my black boots are 4 years old and in need of some tlc.

norksinmywaistband · 15/09/2009 12:33

Chattermouse - They feel like flats, so far today I have walked for 45 mins on the school run in the rain, driven to my cleaning job, worked for an hour and will repaet the school run this pm after a trip round the supermarket.
This is only their second outing since arrival last week and I think I will be living in them all winter they are so comfy, and imo look good with dresses/skirts or jeans

Oh and the school run is done pushing a lazy 3 yo in a buggy

leothelioness · 15/09/2009 12:37

Order complete YES!!!

FranSanDisco · 15/09/2009 12:45

Oh god I've ordered a pair for me as well now! I half hope they won't arrive

brokenspacebar · 15/09/2009 12:46

I read the 20% discount is only for non-sale goods... I phoned about the brown ones, the woman was lovely on the phone and they are sending them out to me......

Lol Ruby, I still cannot justify the black ones, I got as far as putting them in my basket.....
