lovely but very pricey

AnyFucker · 06/09/2009 18:59

no, too much material in it

looking purely at the photo, it doesn't seem to justify the price

looks more like summat you could buy from BHS

sorry, you did ask

cocolepew · 06/09/2009 18:59

No, sorry.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 06/09/2009 18:59

Very nice if you want to look like you're wearing a blanket. An expensive blanket.

myalias · 06/09/2009 19:00

No way too much draping at the front

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 06/09/2009 19:00

nope, but tk max is overflowing with this sort of blankety cardigan hybrid atm

slyandgobbo · 06/09/2009 19:01

M and S did a cardy like that which i wore whilst pregnant. All the extra yardage rapidly became extremely annoying.

KristinaM · 06/09/2009 19:01

sorry i agree with AF

moondog · 06/09/2009 19:01

No, it's the sort of thing a large loud woman in a provincial arts centre would wear.
Accessorised with short grey hair, ethnic earrings and Clarks shoes.
Oh, and probably a hapless foreigner or two in tow.
('Do meet Luis, my Peruvian exchange student!')

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 06/09/2009 19:02

i have a lovely pattern for a blanket cardie if you are into knitting at all.

janeite · 06/09/2009 19:02

Nope - sorry. It looks like one of the 'hand woven by goats' things that Toast often have.

TheCrackFox · 06/09/2009 19:03

Unless you are very skinny, it will make you look like a small hippo.

£179 for a cardigan?

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 06/09/2009 19:03

yes moondog and at 'events' she wears a turban

moondog · 06/09/2009 19:03

Aye.
You know her too do you?

MarshaBrady · 06/09/2009 19:04

No, and it's acrylic I would go for wool or cashmere.

moondog · 06/09/2009 19:04

It's amazing how women love this stuff and men can't bear it isn't it?
(I admit to having irratinoal weakness for seedsack and goat blanket poncho look myself, which i fight!)

TheCrackFox · 06/09/2009 19:05

Moondog - that is so spot on. Uncanny. She will also have a statement broach to complete the look.

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 06/09/2009 19:05

yes her real name is sandra but she calls herself mya

MarshaBrady · 06/09/2009 19:05

lol at moondog

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 06/09/2009 19:05

If I'd paid £179 for a cardi I wouldn't be standing in the potting shed wearing it.

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 06/09/2009 19:06

i have a gorgeous purple enormous cardie that all my woman friends love. dh (how normally never comments on my clothing ) refuses to be seen with me and says i look like a womble.

moondog · 06/09/2009 19:06

Yes yeas to you all

AnyFucker · 06/09/2009 19:07

moondog, that is very funny (and sooooo true)

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 06/09/2009 19:08

Sorry OP
