Shoes needed for my wedding

I am wearing a 1950's dress, kind of dark ivory coloyr, and because it's short I need shoes which will make a statement. Am considering wearing these img.photobucket.com/albums/v637/byny/shoeswedding.jpg but am not sure. Can anyonoe find me some Ivory shoes in the same style and same height?

Gold shoes would be cool, I saw some pictures on a wedding site where a woman had a 50's dress and had amazing gold shoes. Will check out your links.

I think statement shoes would be amazing but not leopard skin. Do you have bridesmaids in a certain colour or an accent colour you could use?

Someone on a wedding forum I posted on had a similar dress and wore red shoes which looked amazing.

Oooh those Dune Kross ones (first ones) are nice but the heel is too high and a bit Hookerish

The others are nice but I think both are too light

I agree with the suggestion of either gold or a bright colour (for really statementy shoes, though not leopard print), as it would be easier to match. Or, you could buy white shoes and get them dyed to match?

Ah - the next ones (first ones) are too strappy for me and not the sort of thing I am looking for need them to be vaguely retro/50's in style - more like the leopard print ones.

wedding is less than two weeks away so not sure about dying and all that stuff, is it too late?

Second ones are better (Gold ones) wonder if they will be in the shop so I can try them on

BTW - can people tell me why they don't like the idea of leopard-print ones?

Well, reading back over my comment, they could work actually. This is a rather chic site, and shoes-wise it seems that pretty much anything goes now

Coloured shoes do like quite awesome with 1950s style dresses: here.

I think with dying they can end up smelling, so you need some time for the smell to go away.

I am getting married (in 9 days...shameless plug )
I am wearing a champagne coloured dress (ivory but a bit darker.) just below the knee dress and am wearing fushia pink shoes and it looks fab.
Are you having flowers or anything that you could have a bit of colour in? I decided no to flowers..although apparently I am having them now but another story. But ordered a fresh flower wrist corsage in the colour of my shoes to bring the colour in bit. Is very simple but even if I do say so myself it looks fab. I did end up buying a cheapish pashmina in the same colour for later on if my shoulders get cool outside.

My flowers are green and White/cream with an iris for my something blue in the bouquet, although this isn't set in stone as we've not even ordered the flowers yet. Maybe I could change the flowers to something funky and bright?

As I am not having bridesmaids I have no theme really!

The corsage sounds cool, maybe I will think about that!

A woman I was speaking to on a wedding forum shared her pics with me. She changed into this for the evening do which I think is brill.

One of the reasons I went for really bright shoes was that I struggled to get ones I liked in a colour match and I had thought about gold but thought to hell with it going for bright fushia pink shoes.

The flowers would be a good way to bring in a bit of funky colour to it. Although I am now having a bouquet I am keeping the corsage because when I hold the bouquet you won't be able to see it but when I don't have the big bunch I still have my splash of colour.

That picture is waaay cool I love that.

And presumably you know that you can survive the whole day in them.

Why go for dull dullsville wedding-y shoes?

They will look nice with the green too.
