Aren't M&S clothes shite at the moment?

Going to a party tomorrow. I have something to wear, but ended up with a couple of hours spare and decided to go and shop for something new. Nearest place with easy parking is a big M&S.

My God, how dreary are their clothes?! Shitey McShite of Shitesville.

Who buys all that stuff?

I was so disappointed not to be able to spend any money. I went round twice, in disbelief, convinced I must have missed all the nice stuff.

BIWI - I feel v bad about hijacking your excellent thread. Sorry.

Would anyone who wants to come to summer colours with drinks and canapes evening please CAT me and let me know your holiday dates and then I will be able to make a proper list of possible dates and run them past you all?

mrsmaidamess · 13/07/2009 19:38

BecauseImWorthIt · 13/07/2009 19:40

EPPM - It would be lovely if you could come too. And can we persuade MrsSpringsteen to come down from up north?

I would love to come Swedes, if I am around (away 16 July to 15 August, whole month, first time ever since infants). Don't let me hold anything up though.

at Paypal dispensation

Threadworm2 · 14/07/2009 05:46

You all don't mind about rhe Fritzl(sp) cellar then? There will be stacks of colour-coordinated pods to keep us in, like in The Matrix, and we will have to live our entire lives via the Interface with MN (no change there then).

BecauseImWorthIt · 14/07/2009 08:57

As long as I don't have to have any more babies I don't mind the cellar.

how have i missed this thread. morrisz it is genius of you to buy smaller, wish i'd thought of that when they still had the blue. might get brown myself...

i went to house of colour and it is a revolution. yes they do take all your makeup on and put really bright lipstick on too it is a bit scary. i went with sister, i am a deep summer and she is a jewel winter.

i always did hate yellow.

Is 'tat' a comment on M&S clothes or a mistakenly revealed new acronym Justine?

Threadworm2 · 14/07/2009 11:33

I think this whole thread should be deleted as it makes a generalisation about M&S clothes that is probably offensive to someone.

swedesinsunglasses · 14/07/2009 11:39

LOL at getting your colours done being a "revolution".

I wonder whether some children are unhappy at school because the uniform is the wrong colour. We might look into SATs results and Ofsted reports and flirt with the possibility of paying fees, when all we really need to know is what colour are the gingham summer dresses?

There would be no need for lotteries or catchment areas. We would just have Harpenden Clear Winter Primary or St Albans Rich Autumn Primary. And if an autumn child was mistakenly placed in a clear winter primary she would attend an appeal at the LEA and her parents would plaster her with fallen leaves. And the panel would all admire the way the leaves lifted her sad little face.

swedesinsunglasses · 14/07/2009 11:41

Perhaps the Mumsnet Head of Marketing informed Justine that their pitch to M&S for advertising went out yesterday.
