dermalogica are great for skin care

NomDePlume · 12/05/2005 13:38

I get mine from here. Prices are the best on the net. Better than ebay, even !

NomDePlume · 12/05/2005 13:38

prescriptives are meant to be good too

lippysticky · 12/05/2005 13:39

My ideas are:
Chanel foundation (vitalumiere)
Lancome mascara
Clinique lip gloss
Mac cream blusher
Light eyebrow pencil
Clinique allover lustre( for evenings)
Bobbie Brown bronzer( for when you have been up all night)

NomDePlume · 12/05/2005 13:41

make up wise, i don't wear much at all in the day - brown mascara & lip balm if I'm feeling glam.

I bought the rimmel mascara with acomb instead of a brush and it's great. Always thought rimmel were meant to be cheapie and crap but this mascara is great. Use it with my realmust have, my tweezerman eyelash curlers

I'm using IDealist skin replenishing before moisturising and Equalizer Make up base (both from Estee Lauder), since I developed ver dry skin after using a ColourMeBeautiful make up base. the Idealist is fantastic.

Mine is nearly all clinique, as I wear contact lenses and my eyes can be very sensitive and theirs seems to work for me.

One Eye pencil
three mascaras
one highlighter
Foundation
seven/ eight eyeshadows
one lipliners
nine lipsticks/glosses
Various bits and bobs which came as freebies

I don't use any blusher as it makes me look a bit strange. (even when applied professionally).

I use clinique three step and various clinique moisturisers which are great.

I only ever buy when 'bonus time' is on as you usually get six or seven small sized freebies which are good value.

Oh and usually my boots advantage card buys me something nice a couple of times a year.

mancmum · 12/05/2005 13:44

totally recommend LAura mercier -- just had a fab make over from them...

I love tinted moisturizer as it gives you some colour without looking too made up -- that and a bit of lip gloss gets me thru most mornings without making those around me throw up!

Also, get eyebrows waxed or shaped for instant face lift that makes eye make up look loads better

elliott · 12/05/2005 13:45

mancmum · 12/05/2005 13:55

laura mercier is in selfridges and harvey nicks in manchester ...

Trampy · 12/05/2005 13:56

Polyfiila and a trowel.

passtheprozac · 12/05/2005 13:57

yes ,it contracts the minor blood vessels in the eyes so stops them looking puffy.makes noticable difference.

lippysticky · 12/05/2005 13:58

Cream blusher is a must as it doesn't make you look like a powdery old lady.

DillyDally · 12/05/2005 14:00

Mix of Prescriptives and decleor skin care
Escentuals ID foundation
Concealer
Stephane Marais comb mascara
Fran wilson lip gloss
Laura mercier cream blusher
