I have alphabetised my wardrobe, and they are all hanging there nicely.

Janeite- the best length cardis I've found for shortarses more petite people were in Benetton- but now they've closed down our store haven't they?... so don't know where would be good. They did lambswool (I only like natural fibres) and they were waist length, not cropped, in v-neck or round neck- they were fabulous, I have quite a few in different colours.

H&M often have shorter (but not cropped) cardis, especially in summer- little cotton ones in bright colours.

janeite · 29/03/2009 22:02

Thanks Southeastastra - I don't 'do' Peacocks though, for the same reasons I avoid Primark.

Each Peach - who you callin' a shortarse?!!! Haven't been in a Benetton since about 1984! Will have a look next time I'm in London, as I'm sure there's a store there.

janeite · 29/03/2009 22:03

Lovely pic of Master Peach btw!

EachPeachPearMum · 29/03/2009 22:09

Janeite- I meant me! (though I don't recall you being particularly giraffe-like

janeite · 29/03/2009 22:13

I'll have you know I'm six feet tall - inside!

janeite - have you tried Zara Basics?

MANATEEequineOHARA · 30/03/2009 09:18

I think I have about 12, I made an inventory of my wardrobe a little while ago, it was incredibly relaxing! Also rather shocking that although I never aeen to have anything to wear I actually own 70 skirts

Trinityrhino · 30/03/2009 09:20

I have quite a few. Even more if you include fleeces too.
Nice thin ones (twinsets) for work and warmer weather.
Chunky ones for cold evenings and instead of a coat.
Wrap around ones.

Recently found some moth holes in the best quality, fine knit ones only. Grr.

ninedragons · 30/03/2009 09:53

Ah, yes, bastard moths. They munched through my very favourite cashmere cardi.

I read the other day that a bay leaf in the drawer keeps them away without making all your clothes smell like an Oxfam sorting depot.

ilove · 30/03/2009 09:57

One. And that needs listing on ebay!

Flamesparrow · 30/03/2009 09:59

alphabetised?!?!

I have 5.

3 black (one hooded, one wrap, one normal)
1 long brown chunky
1 brown laceyish thing

I desperately want a new one - refused to pay £25 for one I was looking at the other day and am now wondering why I would pay that for a top, and yet a cardigan I would get more wear out of, I refused

ThePellyandMe · 30/03/2009 11:56

I have at least 20 I'm sure.

I love cardigans. I have them in many colours, lots of shades of pink and purple, a few green, brown, blue, it goes on...

Most are sort of waist length, I have a couple of cropped cardigans, a few tie ones which I wear with my empire line dresses.

I'm not dressed if I've not got a cardigan on for most of the year.

I have no idea how anyone keeps warm without a cardigan or jumper on. I have quite a collection of jumpers too.

Lawks · 30/03/2009 12:08

My GOD you people have a lot of clothes.

mrsmaidamess · 30/03/2009 16:22

Actually Lawks , I don't...just a glut of cardigans.

Geepers · 30/03/2009 16:26

I have none. They don't suit me. They make me look even rounder than I am.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 30/03/2009 16:46

Bright blue ballet wrap
Grey finely crotched round necked
Shocking pink and gold (much nicer than it sounds) with quarter length sleeves and one button at the neck
Ribbed black chunky boring one (for in the house)
Red and back finely striped round necked
Grey jersey longish

as far as I can remember.

janeite · 30/03/2009 18:59

Glucose - yep, have tried Zara and found I didn't like the colours. Thanks anyway.

mrsmaidamess · 30/03/2009 19:35

Ooh Devil, yours souns nice. I'm presuming they aren't all from Primark?

I wore my new chunky knit but slim fitting 3/4 length sleeve dark olive green cardi today.

Did anyone notice it?

Did they heck.

nappyzonecannotcycleuphill · 30/03/2009 19:37
