How many handbags do you own?

DH says I have far too many. I want to sort this out once and for all.

I am just seeing if he's right or not.

Honest answers please!

i have around 50, most of them stored in boxes so i dont want ot get out of bed and cont them, but around that mark. i keep going through them to try and filter nay out i dont love anymore, but also keep buying them

but where are the boxes?

2 - 1 never gets used

I have 3 - dh bought me them and they are all those radley ones, i never use them (ok very ocasionally) as i find i can fit EVERYTHING i need into my coat pockets much to the amusement of everyone i know!

Love fashion, can't be arsed with bags.

Such a waste of money.

I have one for daily 'chucking' in, one to fit laptop and A4 size things, and if I ever go out (rarely), I root around in the back of a wardobe for something small and twinkly.

And after I've unearthed the DH I dig out a bag.

I don't understand how some of you have just ONE bag. IMO, yuo at least need:

Work bad
Messenger type bag
Beach bag
Evening bag
BIG bag (folders/documents etc)

But then one colour of each is not enough anyway.....

i havent clue. i guess about 25-30 of bags
lvx3,prada,gucci,dkny,celine,coach,burberryx2,mulberry, ralph lauren,anya hindmarchx2 thats i remember so far, and laods of jasper conran, rocha, kate spade, tommy and kate,next, m&s and etc... laods from tkmaxx

shoes??? dont know how many i have got about 3 pairs of boots, and 3 pairs of shoes understairs for everyday atmo.imo, woman never have enough shoes or handbags

I have 3 designer, burberry, loewe and adolfo dominguez BUT the bags for high street are more useful and you aren't afraid to use and misuse them!!

I thought about 12, but on closer inspection it is more like 25. They are mostly stored at the top of my wardrobe, but a few are kept in the downstairs cupboard because they are the ones that actually get used.

When it wears out, I go on ebay or something and get another. Max price £10. (which I consider steep!!)

I need one to carry my purse.

and a dozen envelopes with lists written on them

I have one. I have had the same one for, ooh, about 15 years (ok, it's more of a satchel). Do you think I am stuck in a rut?

Both really nice, a deep red one and a duck egg blue.

Much prefer beautiful clothes and more likely to buy -an understated, no obvious label - Chloe coat or dress than a handbag.

A small rectangular handbag (black)
A small clutch bag (black)
A leather rucksack which is sold in the handbag section of Bhs so is a handbag (er...black)
A square handbag (yes, black)
And last but by no means least, a large shoulder bag (guess what colour?)

So, i have five.

Yep. shame about the clothes but cor, that Godzilla's gorra noice handbag collection (in black).

The Bridge bag which DH bought me, but which I find too boring grown up to use on any regular basis; shame, as it was probably quite expensive. I would've spent the money more wisely!

A Lulu Guinness bag that I was unable to resist because it was silver and sparkly and I am a magpie.

A Mandarina Duck satchel type bag - another gift - which I use as a nappy/hand-bag at the moment.

And that's it. I just don't get handbags, really.

My favorites at the moment are Coccinelle- beautiful soft leather- don't get used very much because children are so young. Keeps them looking nice though.

My everyday bag is huuuuuuge- as it usually has a ton of work things in, or a ton of baby things.

I have about 40. As a 'larger' lady, I have bought several as when I need to indulge - I find it difficult to buy clothes in my size. Handbags are my real indulgence - mostly Gucci and Prada - been hinting for a Channel or Hermes for a while now though!!!
