What are you wearing on Christmas day?

Sorry if it's been done before...

I fancy a casual dress. Would love a jumper dress but they look dreadful on me...

Didn't get any inspiration in shops. Know my mum has bought me clothes but is it a bit risky to depend on them for christmas day?

Sigh.

Do people really buy new outfits for Christmas Day? Aside from pyjamas for children that is.

AndaPartridgeOnADustyTv · 10/12/2008 21:46

Jammies, slippers and a big fluffy dressing gown

MadameCheese · 10/12/2008 21:46

that's because none of my nice clothes fit me anymore, but you want serious answers...

MadameCheese · 10/12/2008 21:46

Not sure yet, something nice and comfy. Not too going outy.

I wore a black jumper dress with a big gold belt last year. Black tights and knee boots.

NappiesGaloriaInExcelsis · 10/12/2008 21:53

i dont think ive ever dressed specially for xmas day.
mostly ive been in whatever i slept in the night before...

BUT - am interested in this jumper dress idea - link me some pls!

yama · 10/12/2008 21:55

Ladiesdancing - I tried to find a link but company must have sold out. Not a knitted dress but soft and clingy and flattering.

Twiga · 10/12/2008 21:55

Hey {waves}! We'll have my folks with us but Mum will be positively encouraging me to be in pjs! Now boxing day when dh's folk pop in to say hi, diff kettle of fish altogether - might just be daring though - strength in numbers, good old Mum!

Cezzy · 10/12/2008 21:55

Comfy joggers and Tee to cook in with the intention of changing into something nice before they all come for lunch but by the time lunch is here I'm usually running late, have sticking up hair, food down the clothes (despite the apron), no make up because the heat in the kitchen from the oven has made it run and they all arrive before I get a chance to change, and by then I've started on the sherry and I dont care any more.....roll on Xmas day!!!

georgimama · 10/12/2008 21:56

An apron and a big smile.
