I can't find 18m dd a coat. I don't like the Boden ones at the moment and Gap just have pink shiny which is a bit old for her I think. Anyone know of anything similar or ideas of where to look?

tandsmummy · 06/10/2008 23:21

tandsmummy · 06/10/2008 23:30

monsoon kids? i never buy anyhting full price there- total rip off but they have great sales...

FairyMum · 07/10/2008 07:04

John Lewis, but their website is not very good.

squeaver · 07/10/2008 09:46

Got a nice one in navy for my dd from Zara - suitable for school and out of school

newgirl · 07/10/2008 10:27

hennes had a classic coat that i thought very stylish - wool mix, collar, buttons on front

meep · 07/10/2008 10:39

I am on the same mission - to find the perfect toddler coat

Quite liking this

or this

or pumpkin patch or anotherone

RamblingRosa · 07/10/2008 11:29

I got a gorgeous practical super warm one in good old M&S. They've got some lovely clothes for little girls. it was about £20

mellyonion · 07/10/2008 11:31

another vote for asda....their toddler girl stuff is very bodeny at the moment....saw a lovely brown coat with coloured polka dots on it....
hth

JulesJules · 07/10/2008 11:31

H&M, M&S both have some lovely ones atm. Also like Monsoon, but v expensive, good sale rail though.

tandsmummy · 07/10/2008 20:42

Thanks all. I am on a mission to get something tomorrow! I'm also going to have a quick look on ebay as well.

I'd second the Debenhams recommendation. I've been looking for a coat for DD (18 months) for a while but wasn't impressed with most - too much fake fur/shiny plastic/applique/sequins etc. Bought this one, but actually having looked at the website I might take it back and get this!

Drinkypops · 07/10/2008 20:57

Another vote for H&M, I got my dd the coat newgirl mentioned, she looks really cute in it (she is 21 months btw)

tandsmummy · 07/10/2008 21:04

Yes flippineck, quite agree! Can't understand all the shinyness and fur! Has anyone bought a Jojo duffle coat? Are they warm? JoJo duffle

OP posts:
hana · 07/10/2008 21:11

no - the jojo ones are just fleece, not really warm enough to last through a winter I don't think (friends' ds had one lasT YEAR)

MrsThierryHenry · 07/10/2008 21:17

If price is the issue, I buy my DS loads of great Gap clothes on ebay - still in good nick, and v funky!

ravenAK · 07/10/2008 21:20

I got a gorgeous purple velvety cord coat from Matalan the other day for dd1 (2). £12. V traditional style as prob worn by our own dear Queen & Princess Margaret Rose as gels

NorbertDentressangle · 07/10/2008 21:22

How about La Redoute or Vertbaudet ?

peachygirl · 07/10/2008 21:32

should we join forces??

tandsmummy · 07/10/2008 21:53

I think we should lol! Sorry for starting a new thread everone! I think I've gone full circle- I ordered the light pink with brown spots coat that TheBlonde suggested but didn't like the colouring of it in the flesh! It went back! Am going to order the same thing but the plain ole red one instead (think it has pink lining). Bit boring yes but at least no hideous fur/shine and warm!!

Also liked the assymetric one in John Lewis the other day but they only had 3-6 months...
