I can't find 18m dd a coat. I don't like the Boden ones at the moment and Gap just have pink shiny which is a bit old for her I think. Anyone know of anything similar or ideas of where to look?

great link peachygirl!

tandsmummy, Ive just ordered the boden one too (using the great £10 off code) but gone for the bue spotty one - still not sure how i feel about that, its all been pretty pink up to now! I really wasnt keen on the pink/brown combo though....will see how it looks in a couple of days time.

tandsmummy · 07/10/2008 22:36

Tobermorey! Have just ordered the same thing as you. The red one had a 9 wk wait!! I'm not sure about it either but have seen it on some older girls and seems nice quality. God what a palava for a baby coat! lol

I figure with pink hat and gloves....cute, no?

Tobermory · 11/10/2008 17:04

tandsmummy, coat came today.....very disappointed . The winter coat hunt continues....

fizzbuzz · 11/10/2008 18:24

My dd had a gorgeous coat from Joh Lewis last winter. Bright pink asymetric fastening with big flower shaped buttons, and spotty lining, with matching spotty velvet trousers.

Coat had little embroidery on it. I was going to put it on Ebay, but if your interested I can try and find photo.

Fantastic condition...

DebRets · 11/10/2008 18:40

Last year Gap had lovely coats. Those Asda ones look promising.

Have bought dd this with matching hat and gloves.

Tobermory · 11/10/2008 19:40

ooooh fizzbuzz, possibly veru interested. What size is it?

ruddynorah · 11/10/2008 19:43

i got dd a ski jacket from h&m

MingMingtheWonderPet · 11/10/2008 19:50

Got this for DD from Mini Mode. The pattern looks a lot nicer is real life, iyswim. It looks really nice on her. I did struggle this year to find something, not a great deal out there.

fizzbuzz · 11/10/2008 20:34

18-24m, but don't know how to upload photo Can someone help?

fizzbuzz · 11/10/2008 20:36

here, identical one on ebay

fizzbuzz · 11/10/2008 20:43

The buttons are 3 different shapes and colours, a heart, a flower, and a....erm can't remember...very sweet though.

Really really soft fabric, and with a little piece of fabric which folds over the top of the zip when it is fastened to stop it rubbing.

The trousers are lined in the same colour as the coat, and can be turned up to match

geraldinetheluckygoat · 11/10/2008 20:43

I saw a really sweet brown cord one in boots, very smart, with autumn leaf buttons. I wished I had a girl......

Tobermory · 11/10/2008 20:55

fizzbuzz, what a shame. 18-24 won't be big enough I don't think, DD has a super long body.

I'm afraid they aren't selling online yet but if you're lucky to have one close to you....get down there

tandsmummy · 11/10/2008 22:24

Tobermory- we also took delivery of said coat today and well, it's an improvement on the pink and brown version. However dd has had it put on her twice today in my indecision but it's now back in the bag. Not sure really!!! We also bought the assymetric one from John Lewis. Sounds the same as fizzbuzz is describing. That's quite nice but is very bright pink and both of these coats wash pale-skinned dd out a bit. Am going to have to go with one of these I think, it's getting ridiculous lol! I saw some nice ones in Zara the other day but none the right size. A gorgeous cordruoy (sp) one which they only seem to do in navy would have been perfect...

Tnadsmummy, i know exactly what you mean about indecision witht he boden coat. DD has hers on too several times; I should like it, but......

Funnily enough have just checked john lewis and they have the pink one in, have ordered so waiting on its arrival. Hoping will be good as i had JL vouchers so it only cost £5 in cold hard cash , and £5 for a nursery coat sounds a good deal to me!!

However think i might have found a serious contender. My friends DD has this coat here It is lovley and snuggly, comes in two colours and a genrous fit. Have just ordered one for DD, well several actual;ly as i couldnt decide on the print...or the size

MingMingtheWonderPet · 12/10/2008 15:07

That JoJo one is lovely, tobermory

Tobermory · 12/10/2008 16:07

mingming, it is isn't it. My friends DD had the floral which was actually very nice but wondered if i would prefer plum....ordered both!

tandsmummy · 12/10/2008 17:34

Ooh that is really lovely Tobermory . Have checked it out in the catalogue and love both. Cord is really my thing. Dd has got several cordruoy dresses/ pinafores! V. tempted to order the floral one! Jojo are normally v. generous fit aren't they.

Also been in Debenhams today and bought this to mull overDebenhams duffle

It is nicer in the flesh and a good fit but now like that Jojo one better, and it's cheaper!

Tobermory · 12/10/2008 17:48

im so glad to find other people buy and have a think about...my DH just thinks im odd and expensive when i do that!
I was very impressed with the price of the jojo one, with 10% MN discount, though had to phone to get it. Excellent quality for £22
I too like cord, specially pinafores. Seen any nice ones recently...though i am supposed to be 'not spending'!

tandsmummy · 12/10/2008 18:03

Yes, not odd at all imo! I do it quite often. I have 3 coats for dd at the moment, how ridiculous. Will have probably ordered the jojo one by the end of the day too, hope you don't mind Tobermory

Boden spotty is going back tomorrow. It's a definite no now!

Tobermory · 12/10/2008 18:12

positive affirmation of my good taste, order away!!
Now the hunt begins for cute hat/mittens.... [groan emoticon]
Funny that, i have two carrier bags in my boot continuing coats to go back, 3 of them! And now Boden....oops!
