I can't find 18m dd a coat. I don't like the Boden ones at the moment and Gap just have pink shiny which is a bit old for her I think. Anyone know of anything similar or ideas of where to look?

JoJo also good cos no postage to pay, iirc.

tandsmummy · 12/10/2008 19:58

Tobermory- saw gorgeous hat in chunky dark pink knit in monsoon today. It had a little flower on which was ok ish. Couldn't find it smaller than size 3-6yrs though. Have just ordered the jojo coat, the floral one in 2 sizes! I hope, hope, hope it's the one!!

Out of interest did the discount code work for you on their website?

Tobermory · 12/10/2008 21:52

in cream?

littlelamb · 12/10/2008 21:52

Ooo I am jumping on the bandwagon and definately ordering that Jojo coat for my dd- it's gorgeous. Have had my eye on a stripey hooded dress from there too so may add that to my order as well

tandsmummy · 12/10/2008 22:28

Excellent littlelamb, it looks gorgeous doesn't it. Tobermory and friend should be on comission. It's funny as I have the jojo catalogue but had previously overlooked this coat because I thought the sizes started at 2-3 for some reason.

No Tobermory I tried to get the 10% off through mn but I don't think I can ever get that to work. Ended up getting 15% off by going on www.hotukdeals.co.uk and searching jojo. So, if you go for the hat make sure you check it out. It's not what I usually go for but I reckon it could look v. cute. Would post the code but not sure if I'm allowed to??

I LOVE that dress too littlelamb!

interesting tandsmummy. Does the code end 72 or 73? I ended up having to phone them as none of thecodes were being recognized when I tried to order. The code I tried was out of date... I wonder if it's the same?

tandsmummy · 12/10/2008 23:04

NJP82- it worked fine. Yes, jojo website is a pain iirc. I remember ordering several items once and half of the catalogue codes weren't recognised. Was quite surprised it worked tonight.

I think this one in chocolate brown is very stylish, matched with pink - they have some nice elephant hoods and mittens too that would look good with it.

savoycabbage · 13/10/2008 15:29

I have got this it is lovely and very warm. Much nicer in real life.

tandsmummy · 13/10/2008 16:27

My2monkeys- I like the choc brown one but it may be too dark for pale-skinned dd. Have tried the debenhams one in your last link on her but it was a bad fit on her- tight in the body but the hood was massive.

sorry savoycabbage, that last sentence was meant to be to you .

Got ours today....my DD now has a winter coat, hurrah!

tandsmummy · 16/10/2008 21:22

Oh, brilliant news Tobermory .

Which one did you go for?

No, ours hasn't arrived yet so hopefully it will be tomorrow...

Any luck with the hat and gloves search?

I always buy my girls coats from Vertbaudet - they are always good quality and lots of different styles.

Tobermory · 16/10/2008 21:27

we are keeping it in plum, is a gorgeous colour and returning the other 3 in different size combos.

And no......no luck at all. Don't really know what i want which makes it harder!
Shout me if you find anything suitable?

bikerunski · 16/10/2008 21:27

Got a fab Bodenish toddler coat for DS in Adams today, despite DS only being 5 weeks old. I just loved it, but will need to wait a couple of years for him to grow into it. It's the green and blue star print one here coat

(In a complete fit of madness, also bought him an age 5 wool coat in Gap sale recently, as wass less than £5 and again, really nice - can you tell he is my first child? )

tandsmummy · 16/10/2008 21:43

Ah Tobermory, sounds great. I'm sure you'll find the accessories soon . What was the floral one like?

glamour- funny you should say that. Am sat here looking at Verbaudet catalogue and have chosen a wool swing one to order if the Jojo one doesn't work out!

bikerunski- lol at buying the Gap coat for age 5 . Congrats on your new DS.

i'm been driven mad!!!i have read all your suggesstions but still can't find what i'm looking for.I want a hooded raincoat like the boden adult ones for my 6 year daughter but funky can anyone help?????????????

OsmosisBOOnana · 19/10/2008 17:38

M&S have some nice ones, my mum got DD's there this year.

Dark green parka style with outline leaves and flowers on the back in pale pink embroidery and a detachable pink body warmer inside, good snug hood.

tandsmummy · 21/10/2008 20:43

Jojo coat arrived. It was truly gorgeous, totally up my street. However, it was just too long for little dd. She is average height but just looked too grown up for this year. Hopefully next year...

Got totally fed up and just bought her a mauve coloured £10 coat with simple flower embroidery from Sainsburys! Also just received my Verbaudet order. Got her the brown swing coat mentioned above. It's quite thin but is gorgeous so keeping that too. I think we're sorted lol! God, I hope it doesn't take so long to find hat and gloves!

Fourhearts- have you looked in Gap? They usually have nice ones. Though can't recall seeing any in the younger girls dept recently
