cod we have looked at some flat boots

we liked the hush puppies but thought they were middle aged

someone said cowboy boots and everyone shouted at her

we can't work out if you can wear chunky boots with dresses

Cod, Ewe thinks weepootle and I are middle-aged, Capp is torn, and vertbaudet girls boots are great but we are concerned about grown woman sized calves. and £40 is tops so far, I think.

Well, the £40 has been largely sale prices/discount sites, Cod.

weepootle · 04/09/2008 19:16

For the love of god, do not buy the hush puppies.
Your just as good as opening your arms and embracing middle age and dowdyness.

Its a hidden comandment.

"Thou shalt not buy Hush puppies, Gabor or Ecco until thee is 70 minimum"

If your budget will stretch, I vote Cods and then second vote would be the cowboy boots.
I have a pair of Kurt Geiger cowboy boots I bought 3 years ago and I love them

Habbibu · 04/09/2008 20:08

"thou art", nbg! Blerg. I hate cowboy boots. It's all a bit too Daisy Duke for me.

Cappuccino · 04/09/2008 21:47

oh I am lost now

surely I will look insane in cowboy boots

so I can't wear clunky boots, or non-clunky boots as they are middle-aged, or cowboy boots because I will look like Daisy Duke

Last winter I got a black fake suede, over the knee flat pair from Primark for £15. They looked fab with dresses and skirts. I'm sure they will do similar stuff this year.

filthymindedvixen · 05/09/2008 08:28

cod, are your boots long? ie to wear with skirts?
I may be interested?

filthymindedvixen · 05/09/2008 08:28

I don't want suede as it rains so blardy much here...

PuppyMonkey · 05/09/2008 08:45

Well, I don't know about anybody else, but I'm saving up for the Office ones... the others are all too wide for dresses, will make you look squat!!!

weepootle · 05/09/2008 14:11

I've just bought these blue patent ones from Gap Kids, they are fab. They cost £24.50 but I have a voucher for 30% off Gap next weekend only and I'll be taking them back and buying them again for £17.15 - just wanted to make sure my size wasn't sold out.
