oh dear me, ''Turn again Whittington, lord mayor of london'' sprang to my mind in a thigh-slapping way...

ds1 style guru says the monta ones look piratey! That's a good thing to me

Cappuccino · 04/09/2008 16:13

Fimbo · 04/09/2008 16:14

Capp - your last link, the boots are coming up as £27?? But I do like them.

filthymindedvixen · 04/09/2008 16:15

OMG I'm having those as well - even if I only wear them round the house, they look cosy

Nbg · 04/09/2008 16:15

Not keen on those Cappy.
Not sure they qualify to be worn with dresses.

Do that last link again as it was the same as the one before it.

Nbg · 04/09/2008 16:16

ahh seen them now.

filthymindedvixen · 04/09/2008 16:16

I'm 5ft 6'' and 38. Can I wear those long Monta ones?? what do we think??

PuppyMonkey · 04/09/2008 16:17

All too wide, imho..
For dresses need to be more like this

office.co.uk/womens/office/bea_flat_knee_boot/17/5457/14818/1

Nbg · 04/09/2008 16:18

Agree puppy, they are lovely but not for the skint

filthymindedvixen · 04/09/2008 16:19

PM - they are perfect for dresses but would look shit with jeans and are too £££ for me (even though they are a good price IFSWIM)

Sorry Capp - have hijacked your thread but I have same problem....

filthymindedvixen · 04/09/2008 16:19

Capp Shall I get those montana???

Cappuccino · 04/09/2008 16:27

go on then

so long as you are taller than I am

can we not wear chunky with dresses then? a girl in my office does, but then, she is young

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 04/09/2008 16:28

OP posts:
Neeerly3 · 04/09/2008 16:31

norkmaiden · 04/09/2008 16:31

cappy, I like chunky with dresses.

watching this thread for inspiration as am also skint and boot-needy.

norkmaiden · 04/09/2008 16:32

capp, those in last link aren't leather...

Cappuccino · 04/09/2008 16:33

no

they are £30 tho

leather would be better, agreed

Neeerly3 · 04/09/2008 16:33

my mum wears flat knee length boots with mid calf skirts and she looks great at 55. she is 5ft 6" though. I am 5ft 2" so always wear a heel - these are current fav think one of each colour!

Neeerly3 · 04/09/2008 16:34

capp have you tried ebay?

Neeerly3 · 04/09/2008 16:39

for example
