ok, I am stealing off a thread here, but I want to know something about going commando (possible TMI, hence the new thread)......

how do you manage if you are very 'wet' down there???

I could never ever think about going commando, sorry, simply because I am too 'wet' (oh god, have I really said that out loud on MN.....argh)

and it is nothing to do with having 5 and a slack pelvic floor (altho I have and do!) as I have never figured that I am dry enough to try it.

I mean, what if you sit on fabric chairs, gete up, and leave a moist patch.

(and I said the word moist too....shoot me now....)

NOt seen you for some time Moisty!

Sorry to hear that Riven. I have to wear pads just before my period, because the secretions are really quite heavy. It is an inconvenience.

collision · 15/08/2008 17:04

Sometimes I wear a tampon (ewww! did I say that out loud!!)

but I dont go commando often as am usually with the kids and it is just not the same.....

korma, maybe they should tell all the teens in a rush to get their knickers off, just how messy it all is.

most girls I know would run a mile if we let them understand that it is actually 'gross' (in their words)....

Since the menopause I have gone without. Tis true about non-moistness - more like 'a little icky', so I only wear trousers once as opposed to twice or more on days when I revert to magic pants.

Hassled · 15/08/2008 17:17

To answer the OP, according to Cod a couple of weeks ago (on a white trousers thread) the answer is a tampon - soaks up all the moistness and you can sit on shiny sofas quite happily

Tortington · 15/08/2008 17:17

I know what you mean, I haven't had kids yet so can't use the slack pelvis thing, but on hot days it can get a bit ...bleugh down there and I'd hate to think about not wearing my knicks!
