How would you style this bra?

Just looking at coco de mer collab with M&S and they have this bra. I think it looks really lovely and I am a fan of the colour - the notes say wear with a blazer or sheer shirt. Not sure… how would you style it? Or would you just wear it under a polo neck

on a side note, it’s a bit creepy how none of the women have nipples? Or are the lace bras not sheer? I’m assuming they’ve airbrushed them out - particularly on the high neck red one

Wear it with a blazer? What, on its own? What bizarre styling advice. I’d wear it with a turtle neck. I can’t see it working with a sheer shirt eithdr

MyManinCaracas · 19/10/2026 14:21

I’d have worn it with a jeans and a blazer back in the day, probably out in London. Sandals or boots, very simple earrings.

TofuTuesday · 19/10/2026 14:25

That is gorgeous, I would have worn it under a buttoned up blazer back in the day with jeans tbh. 90s was all about underwear as outerwear.

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 14:33

Wonder if that’s on its way back

the red one I can totally see under a blazer

Probably with a thermal vest but thats not the advice you are looking for 😂

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 14:39

At the moment it’s under a jumper for a dog walk. Might joust get the balcony bra in the same colour

Wear it as the model does. You'll turn a few heads.

The underwire looks really uncomfortable

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 15:05

It would be nice to see a model with bigger boobs modelling it

coco de mer bras are supposed to be super comfy. Wonder if that will translate

Surprised at rhe styling advice, I’d assume that was to wear under a sleeveless top where the arms are cut too narrow to wear a normal bra,

You could wear them over your thermals. Smile

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 15:46

Yes it is like a racer back bra in that respect but perhaps too high on the neck? I do have a dress that cut would work well with except possibly at the neck

i kind of get the blazer suggestion but it’s a bit too bra to go under a sheer shirt imo

I mean, I know a bra can look good with a really fabulously-cut blazer, but the advice to wear it like that just makes me instantly think of Jill in Nighty Night Grin

You're thinking of going out in your underwear? Screams attention seeker to me.

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 16:50

No! I like the bra but I am a bit bamboozled by it tbh

Limeandfigs · 19/10/2026 16:50

It's very pretty, but I'd "style" it under my clothes so you can't see it, like all my other bloody underwear.

It's underwear! You don't "style" underwear.

Maybe I'm missing a trick with my M&S granny knickers multi packs Grin

MrsMoastyToasty · 19/10/2026 16:51

I think a bigger breastfed woman would have issues with boob spillage out of the side of that bra (I speak from an H cup perspective).
That central gore looks uncomfortable too.

So perplexed I posted twice...

Verite1 · 19/10/2026 16:57

Wow - gorgeous underwear. I love the gold and black set!

Tootsurly · 19/10/2026 17:04

Gosh, do people really think about how to "style" a bra?? For me a bra is something that goes under my clothes to support my bust. I'd no more style a bra than style a pair of pants.

Anyway, I guess that means this thread isn't for me. As you were...

Ha! Me too. (Perplexed, not double posted.)

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 17:07

I guess I’m asking because the notes underneath suggest styling it as outerwear so to speak. I don’t think I’ve ever seen styling notes with other underwear!

so it was more a discussion point!
