How would you style this bra?

Just looking at coco de mer collab with M&S and they have this bra. I think it looks really lovely and I am a fan of the colour - the notes say wear with a blazer or sheer shirt. Not sure… how would you style it? Or would you just wear it under a polo neck

on a side note, it’s a bit creepy how none of the women have nipples? Or are the lace bras not sheer? I’m assuming they’ve airbrushed them out - particularly on the high neck red one

You’d need to wear that bra with bodyguards

Under clothes not on view

I'm up for that. May I have Jason Starmer and Dwayne Johnson?😀

Notanotherrestructure · 19/10/2026 17:18

It’s the sort of thing you see in nightclubs on young women (without the blazer) If you don’t feel comfortable styling it that way, there are sheer tops and T-shirts at H and M and other High St shops to put over it.

GoodGirlFaith · 19/10/2026 17:24

Ha! How to ‘style’ a bra! 😃I have heard it all now.

Do ya think I’m sexy? I tell ya, I am.

FiveEightNine · 19/10/2026 17:24

It is definitely meant as an outerwear for relatively small breast, kind of decorative, nearly jewellery style.
So wear it under a cut out second layer which will actually cover the breast, will compliment the colour and will let it show.

PenelopeShadow · 19/10/2026 17:37

I would style it by wearing it backwards and by rubbing a little rose pink blusher on my nipples.

Then pop on a gorgeous brooch on the strap and wear a skirt in a contrasting pop of colour.

Soontobe60 · 19/10/2026 17:46

My DD and her friends would wear this type of bra on a night out under something sheer, and likely wear a matching sheer skirt over big knickers. (not granny pants like mine, more like 1940s blonde bombshell). They’re in their 40s.

BeardySchnauzer · 19/10/2026 17:54

Their 40’s? Blimey I’m not far off and the thought of it is horrifying 🤣

No idea! (I thought it would be this bra.) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cmx2wqwxvyxlo And still no idea...

Couldn't they find her a bra that fitted?

BeSharpHelper · 19/10/2026 18:04

Im not sure , I think I’d try putting my tits in it. Perhaps crocs to accessorise ?

Tootsurly · 19/10/2026 18:11

Necrosis?! I've heard it all now.

RedThroatedWarbler · 19/10/2026 18:11

I know it's their thing, but I couldn't bring myself to wear clothing called 'necrosis'!
🤣

I was thinking the same! Calling a top after a process that kills body tissue is a Goth too far for me...

Lollypop701 · 19/10/2026 18:21

small boobs but maybe a boob tube then the bra then the blazer on top… too much nipple on show for me otherwise… not sure the shape lends itself to a blazer however

Or just airbrush the nipple!!!

the red high neck bra they have I can see under a blazer but not so much this one. It’s an odd one.

I might be missing something here, but I don't think you can airbrush a nipple in real life.

NCfor24 · 19/10/2026 18:30

I have a dress it would be perfect under...high neck with cutaway arms/straps. My current solution is to shove my bra straps as close to my neck as I can and they barely show. But the dress is a sparkly Christmas party thing off Vinted for £8 so I'm not buying a £40 bra to hide under it.
I can't be doing underwear as outerwear and I don't think the high neck thing would actually look that good under a blazer, so a sheer mesh type thing would be the only option I'd go for... (If I wasn't all jiggly and wobbly and concerned the belly rolls would distract from the sexy bra).

No - was a joke because it’s odd they advertise them that way

Yes I have a dress it would be helpful for but could probably get something cheaper!

don’t really have the boobs for it either!!

Wear it with a blazer? What, on its own? What bizarre styling advice. I’d wear it with a turtle neck. I can’t see it working with a sheer shirt eithdr

Underwear as outwear is returning as a trend now.

Think back to the 90s/Y2K thing of sheer or lace tops over a bra, or a bra under a trouser suit, or a basque or corset worn as a top. That kind of thing is coming back.

This bra would also work under any high necked top, or a halterneck.

Also, some underwear is designed for the bedroom rather than daily wear anyway.

CheerfulBunny · 19/10/2026 18:38

OP, I think I'd just wear it under high necked things, maybe a sleeveless polo neck with a slinky pencil skirt, and 'enjoy' it myself. It is very lovely. Sadly I might be too old and intolerant for the pants though which look extremely uncomfortable.
