Non- gunty jeans

Please help a gal out here.

I have recently put on a lot of weight, it’s medication and I’m working on sensible ways of losing it but in the meantime EVERY SINGLE pair of trousers I have is gunty. I have one skirt and one pair of black trousers which don’t make me look like shit but everything looks horrendous. I’d love some advice on styles that won’t make me look terrible but also go with “my vibe”. Said vibe is lots of sage, burgundy and brown, comfy vibes but still okay for the odd meeting. I love the look of tucking my many shirts into my trousers (long live the French tuck) but am avoiding it like the plague atm - if I do tuck; gunt. If I don’t tuck; massive. Please help!

Same gunty boat as you and hourglass dresses are my go to for meetings and in general really.

Skinny jeans and my usual length hoodies. I am a similar height and a hoody covers mine.

But to be honest I wear things that don’t hide my body too. Not my problem if people are affronted by it!

I know I’m in the minority on this board but I’ve yet to see a person who looks better with a French tuck. In my eyes, this looks utterly ridiculous on everyone. Cover your crotch, that’s my mantra.

Try Snag jeans and trousers. They are especially designed for this sort of thing and the fuller figure. Im sure you will find something great on there.

Check out Salsa secret push in jeans. They smooth out the tummy area and somehow don’t dig in the way other high waisted jeans do.

Fellow Guntress here. As if meno belly / tit-sling wasn’t enough, the meeting of FUPA & belly… Gunty, perfect word. It’s all new & most unwelcome! Old (young) me would have been mortified at camel toe, new (old) me will pack into any jeans that zip! Tucking indeed…

I know what you mean and how you feel. I’ve been loving pinafore type dresses from nobody’s child. Can have a tight top to shop off relatively ok upper area but dress skims problem area

Ok so I have a belly that gets bloated at certain times of day or whatever, not a gunt, but basically I think high waist jeans are a total no for most women with a bigger belly.
I generally go for mid rise.. or even low rise, provided my abdo & back are covered to the (mid or lower) rise belt line of the jeans.
I just bought 2 pairs of jeans from Very (low rise baggy & mid rise 90’s straight, £35 each) & they fitted well in that area as not high waisted.
I also like Slim Straight from Next (own label) as they are mid rise too.
Its proving difficult to find wide leg jeans anywhere that are not high waisted though which is irritating!

I too can’t tuck stuff in; I try to get tops that are just below belt length, not too cropped as obviously not wanting to show any belly!

I think if jeans are giving you a gunt, you need a longer top.

A waisted top! Like a shirt, but with shirring or a self tie. It reduces the voluminous top and gives you shape, while still covering the unflattering lower torso.

I have a light jumper that is somehow shaped to fitted closely all the way to my jeans, then smooths down to the hip joint carefully covering my worst areas.

Have you tried sizing up so the jeans “skim over”? Agree to avoid very high waisted jeans as seems to accentuate
